Buying Advice Anyone else thinking about buying a new 1026r?

The mid mount D series mowers on these 2020 series machines seems good to me. I have one on my 2320 and have zero trouble. It mows almost as well as the 950 ZTR I have and in my opinion a little better than the X series machines I have used. It cuts smooth and pretty fast and the cut is quite level. With correct set up, this should not be an issue.

i agree with john. the 2305 fit my situation the best. of coarse if i need a bigger loader, i can use one of the ag tractors or the bh. to me the 2000 series look more like tractors than the x series. with the 2305 i can get into some tight spots around the farm. very handy little tractor.

I have also been following up on all the info i can get on the 10 series. IMO, the 1023E will be almost like the Kubota BX tractors, similar to the BX2360 mostly with the rigid ROPS and the D120 FEL. The 1026R will be similar to the BX25 with the fold-able ROPS and the H120 FEL. The D120 FEL is pin on where you actually remove the FEL arms and cylinders yet leave the loader posts on the machine and only have a pin on bucket. The H120 FEL will be a quick park unit, similar to the 200CX loader and offer a removable bucket. Both of these loaders have an increased capacity of 25% on the 1 series tractors vs. the 2305. The 1026R will have a little more ground clearance over the 1023E. Both units will have auto hitch, independent deck lift, and the ability to run 7 iron MMMs. JD also moved the fuel tank to under the seat and put the fuel cap on the fender, a much more convenient location compared to the tank under the hood on the 2305.

1023E
22.3Hp
independent Mower lift
Auto connect mower
Auto Hitch
Higher loader lift Capacity

1026R
25.5hp
independent Mower lift
Auto connect mower
Auto Hitch
Higher loader lift Capacity

I think they will be good units but would be uneasy as these are brand new units and will take some time until possible issues with the units are fixed or resolved. It would be great to hear about it if you purchase one of these units in the future.

This is the same as the 2305, looks like the copied it word for word. Read the second paragraph at the start of the warranty "Engine related warranties stated in this manual refer only to emissions related parts and components of your engine. The complete engine warranty, less emission-related parts and components, is provided separately as the Limited Warranty for New John Deere Commercial & Consumer Equipment."

in checking further i find that the emission components on the new 1000 series & the 2000 series are 2 yrs but yet the 3000 & 4000 series are both 5 years. quite a difference............bud

All the specs of the 1023E/1026R.
I am surprised with regards the engines:
1026R engine HP is up v the 2305 (25.5 v 24) but not PTO HP (18 v 18). Why bother?
1023E PTO HP is only 15.3 despite having almost the same engine HP as the 2305 (23.5 v 24).

Does this mean Deere are targeting the 1023E with it's low PTO HP against the Kubota BX1860/ NH Boomer 1020?
While the 1026R is targeted against the Kubota BX2360, MF GC2400 etc.
And Deere are not aiming to have any competitor to the Kubota BX2660 MF GC2600 etc?

Wow. All that redesigning and they still let a woman design the Transmission Range Shift Lever to make geldings out of us. With that wide knob, it looks more painful than the 2305's PTO selector. :(
