Buying Advice Kubota RTV 1100

That will work but I can't see any reason to get a F3680 vs a F3080. I looked long and hard and haven't had a single issue with lack of power on my F3080. It wouldn't pull up my steepest hill one time and I just about got heartsick thinking that's why they sell the 36HP. Then I noticed I had it in H range. Dropped to L range and it has never stuttered since.

Well since this is only going to happen in my dreams, I probably won't notice the difference in HP one way or the other.

But I know your more conservative in your dreams and when you price the F3680 you'd just say "No, to expensive" so price the F3080 6' Mowing deck and knock a bunch off the Kubota price it site. Or call Barlows and tell them to bring your three news and pick up your old.:D

Do they have you working off commission yet? Or do you just like all your friends driving Orange.

Giving me hats when I buy a new Kubota, is that commission? If so, then yes, if not then no.
My next door neighbor bought a BX18?? (after I bought a couple of Kubotas and he went through some other brands) then he traded it to a BX2350 and after I bought my RTV1140 he bought a RTV900.
My nephew that lives 4 house down bought a BX2360 after I let him drive my BX and met him at Barlows and showed him what was on the lot and I did ask fo a hat for my work on my nephew, a retired Marine. Steve Barlow gave me a hat for that sale, so yes....I guess I am on commission when I do the at home sale with my tractor and fuel and then complete the sale on the lot.:D
Anyone interested in an at home demo and walk around the lot, let me know. I only have about 15 hats left.:)
I believe therefore I recommend.

So after reading many TBN posts, I decided to adjust the servo valve on my 2008 RTV1100. Just wanting to clarify I'm headded in the right direction, I'll summarize the symptoms I was experiencing. The Machine was generally under powered in high and medium ranges, the engine will rev and the Hstat seems to bypass when starting out or gooing up a small bump or hill. The situtation is worse when the machine is at normal operating temp. When it is "by- passing" I can recover a bit of speed by letting off the acellerator pedal a bit and then get back into the throttle. I backed the adjustment screw out 1 turn (counterclockwise) and really didn't see any improvent in launch power, top speed was the same (as expected). Wondering what exactly the screw is doing? Is it giving the Hstat a bit of "preload", to help get the hydrualic fluid moving faster?

I am wary of turning the screw much more although I have read that some machines were so out of whack that it would take numerous counterclockwise turns. Anyone with experience doing this?

Best Regards.

I had to do this on an RTV500. My 1100 seems to be fine. Seems to me that if you are getting bypass, the screw may be out too far. Could be wrong, but I believe that you can almost disable the HST by backing out the adjustment too far.

I would put it back and go in 2 turns and then try it....Just keep track of the number of turns and the direction so that you can return to ground zero.

on my 500 I had to adjust the throttle linkage in concert with the HST adjustment or you don't get the full impact of the adjustment.

I'll try to dig up the thread on what I did. it's been a couple of years, so the memory is a little weak on this.

Timswi,
