l4400 vs mx4700

I looked at both the MX5100 & MX4700. I went with the MX4700 for a couple of reasons. One as mentioned above I didn't like the thought of maybe having to replace a very expensive turbo charge in the future just to gain 4hp.
I don't think 4 more hp one way or the other would ever be noticed/missed.
I would like to have had the telescoping arms, but not worth the extra cost to me.

what makes you think youd have to replace the turbo anytime soon.

If I had the choice of 2 identical tractors one with a turbo and one without I would take the turbo charged engine hands down. It does fit the KISS rule.

Having a turbo is simpler than not having a turbo? :confused2: How so?

The simplest most trouble free way to gain power and efficiency there is on a diesel. One pressure lubricated bearing. That is the sum of the moving parts. Seems very KISS to me:thumbsup:

A 40HP turbo engine is simpler than a 40HP non-turbo engine?

BTW that's one more bearing than the non-turbo engine has

can anyone explain the issue of the rollback angle is much better on the loader of the MX4700 or MX5100 than the L4400

The rollback angle is how far the bucket will tilt back and the dump angle is how far the bucket will tilt forward. The more rollback and dump the better.
The amount of rollback will be in degrees with the bottom of the bucket flat on the ground the amount it can roll back from level. For the L4400 it is about 24 degrees. For the MX loader it more.
