I turned the knob towards the turtle and lifted the arms. I then shut the tractor off and it still lowered.

That pretty much isolates the problem. You need new seals in the lift cylinder.

If you are having the problem with the lift arms lowering when you are using the mid mount loader valve . I woluld look into the mid mount loader valve it may be damaged or bi passing . I wonder if there is a way of unhooking the mid mount valve and see if your still having lift problems.

Here is the hydraulic system flow diagram. Please describe for us how the mid-mount loader valve could cause the HPL valve to drop the 3PH. The mid-mount valve can cut off flow to the HPL, but it has no way of causing it to drop the 3PH. The 3PH is dropping because the cylinder seal is leaking.

If you do buy it, be careful as it has an adjustable screw/nut for closing tension on the lid. It is REAL easy to rip open the plastic catch lip on the side of the lid.

The vertical toolbox with cupholder lid is NH part #86402046. You can order it from any NH dealer for around $110. Shipping may make it more.
