With the 2 acres that I have, and the intent of grabbing up to 5 more if it comes available from the plots around me, I think the B will do what I need on the high end, very well now and capably if I add to the holdings, in which case an L would be better, yes.
The BX will probably be better now and even in the future for the lawn and snow duties, but for pasture work, FEL Tasks, and tillage, it may leave something to be desired, and may leave me renting a bigger machine from time to time.
My father, who has more equipment than he knows what to do with, gave me what I think was some sound advice this morning. "As long as it fits where you want to go, It's generally better to struggle with a slightly bigger machine doing tasks under its capability than to ask too much of a smaller machine."
Maybe after I run a Bx around it will be enough, or the B will seem just too big, but right now, I'm leaning to the smallest B.
