HydrauLink- a self-contained air over hydraulic top link

My tractor L4240 Kubota did not come with any rear remotes.
I have added a third function to the front...I could run hoses from that if I chose,I thought the Hydralink would be easier.I understand it is not the same thing as fully functional rear remotes.

No problem, I was just wondering why anyone would get a hydraulink if they already had a rear remote. But since you don't have any, then that would be the reason that you were considering it and that makes sense.

Thanks for responding.

Oh, I forgot to mention. HydrauLink is dropping prices soon as well as some new sizes for category 0 and category II tractors. We had a lot of people asking for hydrauLinks to fit the Kubota BX series tractors and the like.

HydrauLink News

This is good news as I'm potentially interested in one for my BX, but just so you know, the BX and most SCUT tractors have Cat 1 hitches. This is important for the pin sizes though I suppose one could use a Cat 0 top link with Cat 1 implements, with or without bushings.

OK, my question is: Why is the travel so short? I have never seen a cat1 with less than 6" travel, and even that is limiting. 8+ is much more useful.

HydrauLink has a 6" stroke plus an additional 4 3/8" screw end for needed adjustments for a total of 10+ inches. Did I answer your question?

Yes, you did. I see that the 4th bullet in your specs section needs some clarification. It has been misunderstood several times on the thread. I wish you had noted that and corrected it at the first reference to 4" travel from posters that had read your ad. 29" max is not a bad length. Presumeably you will offer an extended mechanical adjuster for those that need a bit longer, but dont need it ever as short as 19"?

Thanks for pointing out the bullet...I've made the changes to it. As far as your question goes, I'll look into it and get back to you.
... ... I havnt heard anything about this from you yet. I am serious about this need. The min I have use for is in the 24" range, and I need ability to go up to at least 30 while retaining the cushion dynamic range. Can you make the extended adjuster screw available as part of the deal?

I just read through this posting. Sure was some kickin and screamin.
I would like to hear some feedback, especially concerning the adjustment to lenghten/shorten.
Function wise, this reminds me of a (dare I say) hydraulic version of the old Ford top link. That had two slotted bars sandwiched by bolts. To lengthen, you loosened the bolts and bumped the 3 pt lever up to adjust, then tightened the bolts. To shorten, you put the rear of the equipment on some kind of a high point, loosened the bolts, dropped the 3 pt, wrestled to adjust, then tightened the bolts.

Sorry for the delay. For some reason, I didn't get an alert to this note. Regardless, our manufacturer is making some extended screws that will add another 4" to the length of the cat 1 HydrauLink. This should help with anyone using a quick hitch or just needing some extra length.

You've got me there. I'm not familiar with those. Sounds interesting though. The key to HydrauLink's ease of use is the needle valve and the mix of hydraulic and pneumatic functionality. Not sure how that compares to the old Ford ones.

Good! When will links be available with these included?

I don't have the date yet but I'm told they should come in on the next order which is due in about 12 weeks, give or take. They will be sold seperately t for around $25 or so. Are you wanting the category I or the new category II that is slated to come out around then?

On a side note, if you go to Information and scroll to the bottom. You can see our newest owners manual and flyer. Both have some great information. Also HydrauLink is about to get a nice price reduction. Probably around a 25% drop in price in most places.

I do not want to buy it separately and wont. It would cost nothing to substitute the longer screw on delivery. Thanks anyway. Ill do without the link.

We have to pay for the additional screws from the manufacturer since they are not part of the original part number. Those part #'s have a pre-determined price and have our hands tied in that respect. It would require a new part # and to have the units re-quoted by the manufacturer as a whole. Very sorry we weren't able to help.
