Never have seen a bucket pre drilled for a tooth bar. I would wait till I had the tooth bar to make sure the holes were in the right place.

Toothbars don't have standardized mounts so you really need to fit the toothbar yourself and then drill the holes. The good news is that bucket sides are usually only 12 or 14 gauge or so and drilling the holes is easy even with homeiwner grade tools. A bolt on cutting bar is different and drilling for that could be a real pain.

well, my 2011 - DK45 has several sets of holes predrilled in the bucket. 6 on the lower lip and 2 on each side......guess there for a toothbar....but i dont like using toothbars, so for me it didnt matter. see pics

I'm not sure what the holes on the side of your bucket are for.
But they are way to high to be for a toothbar.

its just the kind of terrain i have, no real brush.lots of gravel and dirt. the tooth bars tend to leave grove marks. the plain bucket leaves it smoother. i guess it depends on the kind of terrain you have.
Ive rented equipment in the past with tooth bars, great for digging holes, and moving out dense underbrush. I just don't have this.

anyways, I'm not sure if the holes in my bucket are intended to fit a certain brand of toothbar or if there universal. I'm not sure what kinds of attachments Kioti sells under its own branding.

I have ordered a set of pallet forks for mine, and i hope that these will help me when clearing logs, branches, etc. time will tell. There due to arrive this Monday.:) :licking:

im not sure what the side holes are for. im refering to the 6 lower holes. the side holes may be for some kind of grapple???? id love to find out what there for. the dealer isnt even sure what there for.

The 6 lower holes are for a bolt on cutting edge/wear bar.

My toothbar slides over the bucket cutting edge and is held in place by 2 bolts (one on each side of the bucket).
I can install or remove it in minutes.

Well, I admit I estimated but 12 gauge is pretty close to 1/8 inch. I can measure mine next time I am near the tractor but I'd be surprised at 3/16ths. However, I've been wrong before!

I did drill the toothbar holes on my CK20 bucket and those were certainly not hard to do with a battery powered drill.

i measured mine with a digital thickness device when i was designing a trailer moving device.

Wait until you have the tooth bar. Most of them have a fixed bolt and one that has a slot type attachment. If you locate the holes properly, you can loosen the bolt in the slot one and flip up the tooth bar for backstabbing with the tooth bar out of the way.

The holes in the side of the buckets are used to attach the bucket to the pallet for shipping. Before you ask why are they in both side then? Because when the end plate are cut and drilled they are the same and it doesn't matter what side they get welded to.;)

...... and my tooth bar just slips over the cutting edge and is held on with four "set screws", no holes to drill.

The holes in cutting edge are for extra bolt on cutting edge, as stated earlier, but also for individual teeth to be bolted on. Holes in side of the bucket are for side wear bars to bolt on. At least this is on the Bobcat loader buckets.
