New tractor :)

When I moved up to a folding ROPS that was too tall for my garage door opening from a lower fixed ROPS, I got into the habit of putting an orange cone at the doorway after pulling out to put the ROPS up. .

Folding ROPs are popular so it must be me.... just curious why a ROP that has to be folded down in order to pass through your garage opening, compared to a fixed one that didn't, would be considered "moving up"?

I would love to trade up to a folding ROPS but I really dont have a need for the BX25. The BX2360 is super sweet!!!!

So,it's been quite awhile since I've posted, but sometimes real life gets in the way. I made it thru winter here in Vermont and the B was a great performer. We had a bountiful snow season and the B handled it all easily. I finally upgraded to a 6' landpride rear blade and it was a good trade. Angled, it sticks out past the tires and makes it much easier to push banks back without driving in them. Handled big 12" snows no problem. Very happy and , yes, you can turn the blade all the way around.
Getting firewood for our fire pit was a ball. Drove over stuff, I'd go around on the BX. This thing is an animal in the woods. With the added ground clearance, you can go places I wouldn't dream of taking the BX. Pretty cool dragging out a 35' log and the tractor acts like it's not even there.
Took off the loader and mowed for the first time last weekend. I was concerned with loaded tires it may mark the lawn, but it did a great job and other than a few wet spots hardly marked the lawn at all. Keep in mind I have well drained gravel. Tight turns and the R4's were fine. Biggest downside vs. the Bx is having to clutch to engage the MMM. I'll adapt.
While my first impressions were the tractor was big, it shrinks as you get used to it. The BX was and still is a great tractor, but I'd never go back.

As a fellow migrator from a BX to B2320, I concur. The clutch has now become part of my mental routine when shifting to/from 4x4 or speed range. No big deal after you make the adjustment.

The B does grow smaller, or at least the size becomes second nature. With the present list of chores I have? No, there'd be no going back.

With a different set of chores? Sure, I'd buy another BX, but I don't see that happening. There really isn't anything the BX did that the B doesn't do just as well.

Harpoon and BP,

Also agree on the B2320 being a great addition to the tool war chest.....my B will be a year old and I've no buyers remorse.....I should have done it years ago......originally looking at the BX, the SWMBO talked me into the B instead...

Most fixed ROPS will not clear a standard garage door opening so you have to leave the tractor out, build a new shelter for it, or modify the garage. Having a folding ROPS eliminates that problem, and makes mowing around trees, etc. possible too. I guess that is why it is considered a "move up". I can lock mine in a position that is high enough to protect me in a roll over, and still low enough to clear the garage door opening, and I really like that.
