Yanmar RS1200 tiller price?

flusher -- You got a good price for the tiller, but it obviously turned into a project for you to get it working with your tractor. What was the reason for needing to use the longer lower lift arms, just accomodating the length needed for the slip clutch etc?

Yep. As I said, no shear bolt on that rototiller, so I went with a slip clutch and had to make the mods I mentioned in my previous post.

The importers of the Grey Market tractors usually get a free tiller with each tractor they buy, so anything a dealer gets is clear profit. $350-$500 if the tines are good. Ken Sweet

I definitely want to find a used tiller. I will likely only use it twice/5 hours a year. I liked your $300-$500 range you threw out. I've been watching Craigslist, but it seems 4' implements in general are hard to find, and 4' tillers in particular.

I respect kens knowledge but that price is to low for a dealer. They are more like $700 when i checked at a dealer. Used i would say the $400-500 is closer to what you will pay.

Keep in mind OE tines are no longer availible and the ones that are, aren't heat treated and cost $200+ a set.

Yes, from what I've seen, getting a 4' tiller in good condition for $500 would be a very good deal. I'm still debating about trying the Jake Rake.

The jake rake and tiller are 2 entirely different things.

In case you weren't aware, there is such a thing as having a pto shaft with a shear bolt built in, such as this shear bolt yoke. It adds very little extra distance to the pto shaft, and gives you a shear bolt. My local deere dealer was able to order one for me since the rear-mount snowblower I got (private sale) needed a pretty short pto shaft and did not have a shear pin.

Hi i have a rs1200 tiller an the seal in the front is leaking i took it out of the tiller it has a ring on it to keep i togather we have not found a way to get it loose we used a lot o pressure an it did not move at all to get the ring out anyone know how to get it appart Thanks Earl44

Here's a parts Dia. Fredricks has on their web site. They may have the seal but any hard parts may be doubtful.

I am slow to understand. Are you talking about the input shaft seal 35x55x8tc? 35x55x8tc | eBay

If so, you may have to start taking everything off starting at the rear of the shaft.
