My new barn / tractor shed

/ My new barn / tractor shed #51
very nice! I'm hoping to get something similar started this Fall/Winter. Won't be nearly as large as I'm just hoping to get a place to park the tractor, Rhino, and implements under with a place to hang out/cook/shower while at the property on weekends....

Ultimately, a house will be built.

Thanks for sharing!

Good luck, hope everything goes as smooth for you as it did me. Some of the best advice I was given while planning my shed was: build it bigger than you think you need.

Did you get plans from somewhere?

No, not exactly. I visited around several communities and when i saw a new barn that interested me, I asked permission to see it explaining why. Everyone was anxious to show off their new barn.

I listened to "what i would do different" and "I did this because" statements and then made up my mind based on those answers.

I like your design and is what I had in mind....just not quite that large.

A year later update. After a year I still haven't gotten everything in place inside the barn but it's very functional. I'm also very happy to report that after a year there are no cracks in the concrete floor.
Since I said that, I'll probably go in tomorrow and have several but my red clay has held the concrete up just as I though it would.

Awesome! Thanks for the extremely valuable follow-up feedback.

Remember midwesterners and northeasterners, this probably doesn't apply to you.

Congratulations and thanks for the update. Any changes that you've thought of since finishing it?
