I put 4 kubota weights on the front of my 3240 and it makes all the difference in the world. It could actualy use a few more but with the bumper I have 4 is all that fits... Its the only weight (way) to go... I think the weights are 52lbs each and bumper weighs about 50lbs?

Looks like those weight are hangin low---decreasing your ground clearance---& that is something I need up here in the woods.

Also I notice that bumper to hold the weights---I mean is that necessary---I know thats what my Kubota dealer suggested-----BUT:confused:

The front of the frame on the B-series is designed to accept 3 weights without a bracket. If you want to hang a full set (5) you need to get the bracket. The weights should be about a dollar a pound, if they are much more than that the dealer is ripping you off. Start with 3 and I bet that will make a big difference.

I wouldn't expect to find weights for much cheaper than $1/pound however, most tractor weights regardless of type, size, or make sell for about that.

Oh, and they won't decrease your ground clearance much at all. They hang down some but still are not the lowest point under the tractor (above pic is an optical illusion.)

Never really thought about it but it does take some clearance. I measured about 2-3 inches in the front but almost same as the lowest point on the tractor.. I tooks some pics to show if that helps??

Well now----I called my Kobuta dealer about weights---He did say that it would hold 3 without the extra bumper---
However---they are $92 for 55#-----Huuuummmmmm ?
I don't know of another place to get them around here---I live far from any big city.
Also I wonder if I did find another place to purchase them----Would they bolt rite up---are there diff. bolt hole configurations?

Thanks for all the replies

The main problem with concrete is that is is so much less dense than lead or cast iron.
HTH----gunnner;)

and the main plus to concrete is you can cast it yourself, easilly, and it's super cheap.

I can hang as much concree weight on the front of my tractor to do the work for about 20$ of materials, vs 200$ of suitcase weights.

ok.. so they are a lil bigger.. but then.. so is my wallet at the end of the day...

money is worth more to me than bragging about having a metal weight.

Not sure the bolt size or confg on your tractor? But wow $92 is high. I got 3 on mine when I bought it and added another later- the one I added was $57 Kubota weight #502 on the side of it.. I think it weighs 52-55 lbs...

i cast some concrete weights and hung them on the front of my ford 4600 I mow with as I have to trailer up a steep incline and with a hd 6' mower on the back it was getting a lil soft in the front.

Nicely played

i know some people have to have oem parts emblazoned with their brands logo and whatnot at 2-5x the cost.. .. um.. I just want the weight. add a few minutes work and some black paint and at 10' away it's hard to tell my cast concrete weights aren't cast iron weights due to texture, etc.
