Despite the fact I feel this thread is more of a debate about business practices than anything tractor related, I'll put another :2cents: in the pot.
It sounds to me like a "poison relationship" is in the making here. You're not happy with the dealer, obviously. The title itself says that. If you think the tractor will somehow be trouble-free for as long as you own it after the initial bugs are sorted out, you're dreaming in Technicolor as a friend of mine used to say.
I've been quite happy with my dealer, the same one kcender is dealing with regarding his loader issues. They've met all my expectations and exceeded some, which to anyone that knows him or me is high praise.
You're going to have a relationship with this dealer and Kubota in general for the whole time you own one of their products. If you're not happy with them now, it's not going to get any better. When you need warranty service, or parts, or on-site repairs, what's it going to be like then ??
I went through this with a Chev truck I bought back in 2000. Worst vehicle I ever owned, including a '77 Mercury Bobcat ! I cut my losses 11 months into a new vehicle loan and traded the SOB for something else. Nothing with the GM bowtie has darkened my door since, and nothing is liable to unless I lose my memory. I drove 'em for over 20 years, but one bad one was enough. I'm over it, really.. yeah sure I am.
I honestly think you'd be happier (notice I didn't say "happy") owning a Deere, New Holland, Case, anything but a Kubota.
That well's already been poisoned, and they don't get better with time. Unless you want to continue to torment yourself (and us) return the tractor, tell the dealer you consider what informal contract you ever had has been breached.
If what you've said is accurate, they have no recourse if you decide to walk away.
