There is more strange about this deal than the jerky hitch for sure, and there certainly more to the story than what we have heard. I agree with the posters that have suggested that you go in to the dealer's in person in a positive state of mind, and work things out. If it were me, it might not be out of the question to offer to pay a restocking fee since I would want to walk away with a clear conscience if it were decided that I would walk. It is not out of the question to just ask them outright if they would prefer not to have you as a customer, and just honor that. Something was said, or done before our version of this story began, and it soured the dealer for one reason, or another. It may not have been anything you did, but pehaps something a salesman did that made the deal sour to the owner, or something. It seems obvious at this point that things are not moving in a positive direction, and probalby won't. As TripleR might say, Life is too short to carry the burden of this relationship through the possible years of ownership.
