What is your most used implement?

Let me clear this up...
Is it a soda or a pop?
How about a sack or a bag?
A grinder or a sub?
Don't look too deep when it's just two words that man the same thing...

I know this one; all but the grinder and sub are the same.
A grinder is baked and a sub is not.
Do I get an A on this test?

I use my FEL then the Brush hog.

Grinder and Sub are the same now though...just go to Subway and they'll ask you if you want it heated, but all the bread is baked too.

Soda is something to drink so won't work in a sack or a bag. Pop however comes out of the microwave and even with butter WILL work in a sack or a bag.

I guess I use my FEL the most, filling up and smoothing out. After that, disc I guess, but maybe the forks. But last year was the bush hog and FEL by far.

I like the grapple and might have to spring for one, along with the spreader and sprayer.

And the ...

i know i dont have a front end loader but wonder what yall folks are doing with them so much that you use them more than a cutter? I live on a small peroperty but also have a large property that i hunt on and go to maintain it. I still have not missed not have ing a loader yet? Maybe its cause i have a boom pole to lift things but im just wondering what are you guys with 5-10 acres doing with your loaders, let alone what are you doing on your tractor all the time. I put maybe 50 hours a year on bushhogging my fields and planting a few acres max of food plots a year. I bushhog maybe 7 acres 3 times a year maybe less?

Just curious, i dont live on the property so if i did i would cut it more. Not haveing cows and not moving dirt etc i cant see where it would be used much (FEL)?

That's a good question. For me, I move a lot of stuff in my FEL. The distance between my garage (or my driveway) and my garden is probably 750 feet and to the back lot it's about 1/4 mile. So, if I need to haul anything out there that will fit in the bucket, I throw it in there and take off. I built the kids a large sand box and used the FEL to lift it up and move it around, and to move and dump the sand in the box. I dug up tons of dirt with it and used the dirt to fill in a ravine so I could cross it easier (bucket teeth are my next project). Last week I pushed over a decent sized mulberry tree with the FEL. When I get some gravel delivered I'll use it then for sure! I can say that if I can find a way to use the FEL (even for the simplest things) I'll use it!

I understand your uses adn they seem normal. You find stuff to do with it if you have it. But would someone like you use it more than a bushhog? I guess if you only have like 5 acres you would, but someone with say 10 acres to mow with a tractor that spends say 10 hours 4 times a year doing so actually use their loader more than 40 hours a year? Thats what i find hard to beleive? How much gravel or dirt are you guys toting really, or trees your buldozing?

my most used implement is my, um, well you know...

actually it's seasonal...FEL in the winter, mower in the summer.

Finish mower Landpride does such a good job I have more time to do things other than mow with my new B2920. I had some trees taken out from the storm damage and had the guys leave the shredded limbs for mulch and I have been using FEL to move mulch around to create space around trees bushes for less trimming I thought about a ZTR but I would miss the FEL too much Moving anything is so much easier. I haven't used my grader blade much and wish I had gotten a rake first. My little trailer that dumps is pretty usefulI also have a manure spreader but I have discovered that in most weather the horses do a fine job of spreading their own manure and prefer not to be cooped up in the barn. I use the FEL to turn the manure for composting so I don't use the spreader very often

They all have their "intense" seasons. I put up 20+ cord a year and live on a 100 acre apple orchard on a mountain in (snowy) NH.

logging winch / skidder
Splitter
chipper
flail mower
rotory cutters (bush hogs)
MMM
Plow blades / scraper blade
PTO snow blower.

tiller, disc harrow and sander / spreader get the least use.

It's the FEL then The Bush Hog, I never thought I needed a FEL but I use the it for everything.
