...Found the message from Teg interesting that M59 has the same valve so I tried to put the attached diagrams together to see the location of the valve etc...
??? I might have said same as a Grand L (but not really sure which one, L31?? maybe) I don't remember hear anyone saying anything about a M59... I'll look back at what I said...

31351-39604 is the valve I'm thinking :confused2::confused2::confused2: Not sure what those numbers (YR908-102??) are from.

EDIT looking at the two valves (I see where the YR # comes from) the difference is 50-130 in the link above... the right side. most of the rest look the same.

Part # 330 - Screw Set - Wonder if this is what needs to be adjusted correctly?

I found the discussion earlier regarding the proportioning valve interesting. The M59 like a number of Kubotas diverts the hyd flow from the 3pt to the BH leaving the 3pt nonfunctional when using the BH. The flow to the BH is substantial. When diverted back to the 3pt I wonder if the flow is not handled. The 3pt behaves as if a small movement in the control arm causes the cylinder in the 3pt lift to jump no matter how smooth you try to be.

Regarding the set screw.... no apparent access without taking it apart. I do not have the service manual yet (on order). Maybe someone with a service manual can check.

Some more info. Talked with the dealer and actual mechanic. The dealer told me that they made the adjustments on their own dime and that Kubota said no to any repairs, that it was normal function.

Talking with the mechanic. They got no help from Kubota. I believe I have the 104 valve, (jokergerm should have 105). There are many things that can be adjusted on the valve. He told me he had the valve out of the tractor 20 times or more as well as disassembling the valve itself. Make an adjustment here or there, and it would get better or worse. They put in a new valve (this was a 104 that he had on the bench, just $600) and it was even worse, so they continued to work with the original valve. He also said the valve body was sensitive to how it was torqued down, if too high or uneven pattern then it would affect smoothness of internal valving adding to jerkiness. The position feedback linkage also made a small difference to the movement. He showed me the service manual, it does list some (I recall 3-5 numbers) specifications on the valve, some in the few thousandths others are in tenths. There isn't a specific adjustment procedure to address the jerkiness in manual, it just shows specifications and torque values and a few diagrams. I got the impression just setting the valve to oem specs was not enough, it took some trial and error and adjusting lots of little things.

I did order a service manual while I was there just cause I wanted one. I will take a closer look at it when it comes in.

The YR908-105, etc... are the complete valve assemblies for the newer-ish tractors.

Attached valve part number for L3800.

I forwarded this info to my dealer, thank you.

Unfinished, do you have the parts break down for the internal guts of that valve? Should be listed as control valve - parts???
