that's likely to be going up more and more. there is less and less industry and manufacturing going on domestically every day. i remember back when we made things... now we are lucky to even 'assemble' things here.. let alone actually make them...

I was trying to think of an excuse to get up that direction, but everything I thought of ended costing me more money. :laughing: So I'll look local and if I can't find anything soon, I'll order something.
kinda makes you worried if the world ever goes sideways.

if?.. I'm honestly waiting for 'when'.
i mean.. we have virtually no factories here anymore.. no manufacturing capability. if we had to tool up in an emergency we'd be cought with out pants down...

Thought that someone would mention a engine driven welder by now. I have been lusting after 1 for a long time. If welding turns out not to be your cup of tea, you still have a generator that will prove very useful.
Link is to pretty much a bottom of the line unit. But still worth looking into.
I think that Everlast also has some engine driven welders, that may have a very good warranty.

I agree, it's more likely a when, not an if, but since this is a tractor forum and not survivalist, I was being optimistic. I usually don't wear my tinfoil hat when I surf TBN.:laughing:
