Value of a 2040

Wow and I thought I got a deal on a 2040 at $4500!

And yours is without loader.. Right? $4500 is a good deal even without a loader.

That's a STEAL!!

Likely cost me about $3,500 (roughly) to drive roundtrip to OH from Alaska. That's figuring 8,500 miles @ 16 miles per gallon and averaging $4.50/gallon.

I could be there in a week. Probably take 8 days to get back home with a load.

Not exactly a "barnburner" deal at $5,900 - but, wouldn't be too shabby either!! :thumbsup:

The buyer bought drinks for the house after he got home!!

And if you bring some jerry cans, diesel around here is 3.85 right now. :laughing:

But, it seems that at $8000 it should be a fairly good deal and $7000 should be a very good deal for a working, newer type, 2040 with a sun tan and a loader.

Not really...!! But, I've make so many trips during the past 10 years - buying and hauling equipment to Alaska - that's my benchmark. How much time and money is it gonna cost me to go get it!

And I try to "overestimate" the cost - 'cause a ruined tire or a blown belt - will always put a dent in your wallet; if you're not ready for it!
