I'll have to keep one barrel around for the 15 or so gallons that are unused - unless I can find another spot for it.

A convenient spot for those extra gallons would be the front tires.;)

I know your not interested in gallon jugs, but i just saw a commercial for wal-mart where they have WWF on for about $1.50 (IIRC) a gallon! Cheaper than bulk! Didnt notice the freezing point, but its likely winter fluid at this time of year.

and think of all the uses for them good plastic jugs. could put drain oil in em, or.. or.. :)

I save all jugs 1qt and up at my place. never know what I might need to pour into one..or take with me.. or cut bottom out to make funnle.. etc.. or cut top out to make a tub... have cut top half side out opposite handle to make a 3/4 gallon carry jug to throw wrenches in.. with handle and all.. also good to clean tools in.. or soak small parts you don't want to use in the parts washer.. used to use coffee cans for this.. but don't see the quart ones much anymore.. and hard to go thru the gallon ones fast enough.. :)

Put your belt through the handles: tool belt! Good for picking fruit, nuts, or vegetables too.

neat concept.. probably good for onions and carrots. I've worn canvas belts for that.. but they fill too fast. might be good for blackberries too...

thanks for the idea..

Hmm. never thought of the good things about 150 plastic jugs around. 30 plastic jugs around I can deal with. 150 is a bit much!

I learned it from a guy who made a "shrimp pump" for sucking ghost shrimp out of the tide flats in a bay. We would sell them for bait.

yep.. BOD or bio chemical oxygen demand. same deal I mentioned about sugar laden material. real hard on water with aquatic life in it. WAY worse than salt addition. salt addition won't directly kill fish in the amount we are talking about.. same amount of sugar residue materials COULD though, due to secondary effects....

I can't find the 'sugar content' of Rimguard, but I would bet that it would be quite low.

Rimguard is the by-product(waste) of the beet use process.

And judging by the smell................the sugar content is going to be small(if any).

The best way to describe the smell of beet juice is...........a dead animal inside of 2 year old sneakers that are soaked in water, then left on the patio in the sun:thumbsup::thumbsup:

Benefit's are the added weight, non-coroosive, easily plugged......and totally non-toxic in any circumstances.
