BX25 Goodies

Danner, and all,

What is the secret to using ether one to get a level result when they tip one way or the other when a tractor wheel hits a bump or rut? I get better results with several passes with the FEL backblading with the bucket bottom.

I want to get a 60" backblade that tilts up on one side to use for making ditches I can still mow. Then I have thought, doing flat work, about adding a guaging wheel each side and using a flex connection on the top arm That way the blade will not follow the tractor wheels. I am good at fabbing my own stuff. My box blade is only 48" so not sure it is wide enough to be effective with the wheels.

Any body done any of this or can share some operating secrets.

Actually, Kubota's... at least for 5 years till you pay it off. LOL Don't worry. They let me use their tractor till I pay it off too.

For me, the box blade is far superior to a rear blade for shaping the earth. First, it has scarifier teeth to cut turf and clay quickly. Second, the box structure allows it to carry dirt away, similar to an earth grader.

There is no secret to it, you just have to think about what you want to accomplish. If you had obvious high spot, cut them up with the teeth and drag the high ground away. Then, look for the low spots and drag extra dirt tin them. The top link is your friend. A long top link cuts earth and fill the box for dragging dirt away. A short top link has a smoothing action, which is good for finishing. Just get out they and work on it, you'll get the hang of it very quickly.

Yea...my wife reminded me last night about the payments. In no uncertain terms I can't do much till I pay it off ... Hopefully that will not be long and hopefully 0% sticks around and I will go back for more...

Thanks! Here is a picture of the underside of the rake, I designed the rake teeth to be clamped in place which allows for easy replacement as well as it allows a small amount of "play" in each tooth to prevent damage if they were to hit a large rock or a root. For your BX25 I would recommend the SC48, even though it may only be 48" wide it will do anything that the larger rakes will and be much more maneuverable. In fact, this rake will likely replace a disk and a box blade in your case. For the shipping quote, i will need to get one so i will send it to you via a PM. The base price of the SC48 is $500. And I can get it in Kubota Orange.

I have started a "Favorites" on my box for Implements / Attachemnts that are relative to my BX25 / Sub Compact tractors. After it grows maybe I can post it up. Don't hold yer breath! Seems to me the list owner, Muhammad? might consider such an area, be wise to make an area for vendors to display there wares, make it free for vendors till it grows...

I am a newb, I am searching and searching and searching for what is available, heck, I didn't know about JAKE RAKE till the man jumped in waving a flag, HERE I AM, and I am GLAD he did! I want to see EVERYTHING and it is NOT in one place to feed upon!

That's the Ratchet Rake in the 4th link I provided. You can only purchase them from TSC now but it's a great implement. I can tell you what all it can do here but watching the video on their site is much better. Even though the video shows a skid steer operating it, your small BX can get the same results.
