propane gas tank

Sure gets you some glaring looks when I'm in the places that hate Canadians.

Those places are rare though. Love the Newfie accent. You ever to Oz and stay long enough, and you will come back with a bit of an accent. I did when I cam back from NZ. :)

Not to keep steering this thread off coarse (although maybe that's a good thing?) you are right TripleR. Lots of places I trucked, I met people from Missouri, Alabama, etc. and I could barely understand what they were saying to me. Then I realized they couldn't understand me either, lol.
Just like my friends in Australia. I'd rather email as I can barely understand them on the phone.
I still don't know were the "aboot" comes from though. I've honestly never heard that. Maybe because I live close to the U.S. border? But I do have a bad habbit of saying "eh". Sure gets you some glaring looks when I'm in the places that hate Canadians.

As an anecdote, some of you older guys might remember Jackie Stewart...a Scottish race car driver in the 1960's.
Jack had a very thick Scottish burr and could be hard to understand. However, according to a Road & Track article years ago, he could easily be understood by those folks in rural Georgia, USA.

Arrrrgh! Shiver me timbers! I've steered this thread off course again!

I have seen them add a coupler between the line and the regulator or the valve and the regulator that is not drilled though. It looks like a regular fitting but will not allow gas to flow.

With that said I had problems with my propane company last spring. I have lived here for 8 years and my tank looked like crap. I called every spring and asked them to sandblast and paint it. It was a $1 per year rental tank. Long story short, they did not.

I called around and found a company that offers free tanks to anyone that uses 750 gallons per year and the propane was $.30 per gallon cheaper. They brought out a brand new tank, set it for free, and I am happier.

Moral of the story, call around and get some prices. Then call your company and tell them to come get their POS and credit you for 100 gallons or you are going to get the police involved.

I'm lost its your gas and they are preventing access to it?
1*It is if he paid them for it.

Did you not pay for the gas?Are they coming to pick up their tank and what gas is left? Or is the tank/valve faulty or unsafe and on their unsafe to use/fill list?
All questions that deserve answers.

without a better explanation about the reasons I am not comfortable aiding your lock-picking. If you have paid for the gas and they have locked it there are legal means to get it....if theres more to the story then maybe they are in the right. I have a feeling there's another side to this story. Please give a full explanation.
Good observations.

If its their tank they will be back to check and see if you unlocked it.They can do what they want if its ther tank, up to charging a fee for tampering/damaging or unlocking their tank.So be careful, and goodluck as you dont need a theft of services charge.
So far it don't look like he is commiting theft of services but they may be stealing his property .
