A few years ago I built a carryall that was easily detachable so I could drop off my tools and still use my tractor for other things. http://www.tractorbynet.com/forums/build-yourself/108680-carryall-twist.html I've since made some changes to it, added feet and removed the wench since I never needed it. I also added a couple other "jobs" for the base frame. Here's the carryall as it was planned:

Second use was for a Counterweight, I had planned on mounting a draw bar in the 55 gallon drum but found that I could just strap it onto the base frame. One less implement to change out. I do have to set it down on something so it's easier to get the "forks" under it.

I also used it as the base for my sprayer. The tank is mounted on boards and the boom is on different boards that fit nicely on the forks. I don't use it that much and doesn't take much time to put it together.

I can also pickup pallets, I have a water tank that I have mounted on a pallet so I can move it around.

Hey Teg, Nice job, it looks useful and simple. What do you spray?

Mostly Roundup for the driveway but I'm interested in converting fescue to warm season grasses... I don't want to be locked into the Wildlife Habitat Incentives Program but might copy much of what they are trying to do.

Nice sprayer do you have a build thread for your sprayer?

About how much do you have in it?

Actually, I just re-did it last year. The cost was a lot of luck and spare parts. The original unit was an air mist blower, which would have been nice to rebuild but I thought at the time it was junk. The pump was shot and I couldn't get if off the shaft so I removed the whole blower unit and used an electric pump to power the big boom, although I only used the middle 4 nozzles.

A couple of years ago, I didn't get all the water out of the pump, it froze and broke. The old green frame was over sized for the 15 gallon tank so I rigged up what you see with the PTO pump. I don't remember what I paid for the pump... pretty sure I tried to forget it as fast as I could.

Sprayers are pretty simple: tank, pump, regulator, boom and hoses to connect everything up. They do cost a bunch for the parts...

I like to use "SEVIN" to treat the yard (@ 1 Acre) to kill Fleas, Ticks etc for the Dogs +. I'm wondering if I could mix with water (since it is activated with rain) and run it thru my spray rig similar to one shown? Or any other sugestions for a different product to spray for the same reasons. Thanks Ed H

Don't know... what I found on the web didn't sound like it could. Another thing I read was Sevin Dust breaks down in water. They make formulation that you can mix with water, Sevin SL.

Q: Can the Sevin Dust be mixed with water?
A: Sevin dust formulation is not intended to be mixed with water. It should only be used dry.
