The cab actually toughens up your hands. You would be amazed at the calluses one can develop changing from heat to A/C.

Oh don't go thinking having a cab is easy. No sir. The other day I had to turn the heat down because the heat was killing me. At the same time a loud song came on the stereo and I had to reach up and turn it down. Yes it gets worst. Before I could reach up and turn the radio down I had to lay my coffee mug in the holder. It just gets to busy in the cab at times.
Man life isn't easy for us cab owners either you know :laughing:

Wow, that does sound rough!

Maybe you should let us "tough guys" have your cab tractors and you can have our open stations then, so it's not as rough on you:laughing:

Im jealous, all us open platform tractor owners just get the Work Tunes headset !

My Work Tunes headset is junk. Lasted just over a year and the speakers started acting up. Now its hit or miss if they work or not so I just removed the batteries and use them as regular ear protection. I did get a new blue tooth that has a head phone option. You plug the blue tooth into ear buds and they are small and don't stick out very far so you can wear them with the hearing protection without too much discomfort (usually after a few hours they get annoying but at least they work).

I'm at the stage now where I won't buy an open station tractor again unless I really need it to be open. I spend way too much time on tractors and its just more enjoyable to have a dry, quiet, warm/cool operators station to be in for long hours each day. Of course it will take a lot more years before I can justify having all tractors with cabs but it gives me a goal :laughing:

What goes bad on the WorkTunes is the cable going from side to side. It carries voltage from the batteries and also three other wires for the speaker. And flexes every time you yank them on and off. Take the thing apart and put in a new cable [ has to be at least five wire ] and she is good to go for another year. I use the units year round and have done this many times. Finally have to toss them out when the ear muffs go bad.

I will have to say that u have alot better visability then we do. Especially when blowing snow. Last night the defogger couldnt keep up. Hard to see all angles with the windows all steamed up. They steamed up because the snow was blowing on the windows. I guess better on the windows then my face.

You using your A/C ? I had the fogging problem as well then started using the A/C on with heat on high and no foggy at all now. :thumbsup:

Thank you. As far as bucket hooks, on my B3030 HSTCC I frenched in a 2" receiver tube flush with the top middle of the bucket where I was able to pin in a hook, trailer hitch, winch etc. I'll probably do the same to the L5740. It is very handy. It is hard to take a plasma cutter and welder to the nice new orange paint, but it always turns out well with some new paint.

Heres a bucket hook suggestion, just made them up and installed the other day. Simple easy and didnt have to weld on the bucket. Just drill few holes and bolt on.

I like the looks of those. Nice work! I think I'll use your design when I get the time to make some for mine. It is probably actually stronger being welded to the plate and bolted on, especially if you use grade 8 hardware. Is that 3/8" plate?
