Good Evenin Carl and Thomas,
As promised, a finish picture ! Four and a half hours, and does the term, meat falls off the bone maen anything ? :D

I really needed this January break ! ;):)

Great looking ribs and glad you didnt break anything after Applejack and your bones are intact (except for what you're feasting upon).

Now I guess I will need to document a smoked butt - maybe next weekend. I am heading to FL Tuesday and suppose some butts may be in the picture :)

After reading the title I was a little concerned about what was being smoked since you had to hide behind the woodpile to do it.

Now I'm hungry and it aint from the munchies. Looks tasty.
What else would a person go behind the wood pile to smoke? :D What are the Munchies? :licking:

Nice Job Scotty!
what cut of ribs was that?

I have gotten brisket down, but haven't done
much with pork.
SO has tremendous luck with big shoulders
seasoned then in the slow cooker for the day,
amazing pulled pork, but i have yet to try one
on the smoker, afraid to dry it out.

ribs on the other hand, have done on
normal grill, indirect heat, wrapped in
foil for 4-5 hrs and had them come out nice
and tender, but not smoked so not really true
bbq!

itchin to try a couple racks on the smoker though.
you got me thinkin here.. weather has been great,
maybe this weekend!
:D

Scotty, seeing your ribs reminds me of what I always think when I smoke a couple of racks. i.e. Why didn't I think to smoke more?:licking:

BTW: I used to be a bartender in my US Navy days. A favorite drink at my bar (after I mixed a few for some pretty ladies) was a Jack Rose. That's apple jack brandy, Roses lime juice, and a dash of grenadine for a nice rose color. You can use regular lime juice, but you'll need to add simple syrup (sugar water) to make it sweet. It's good served both chilled and warm.

Oh man scotty, that looks so much better than the Ham sandwich I'm eating right now

Have you ever been to Curtise's in VT? He has a road side barbecue that is pretty well known, in Putney I think and another somewhere else.
