Glad to help, I am sure at $199 there can't be much meat on the bone for TSC so don't think the commision check will be coming anytime soon.(Grin)
Can't wait to try mine out , (still too wet), I have been looking at these things for months and was planning to pay the 359 .
Thanks

Thank you Bdavis, I never would have known about this.

I can see a ratchet rake tractor party at MossFlower farm to clear slash in the future if they work well on that kind of stuff.

If this thing works on my slash... I think a Ratchet Rake tractor party would be a good idea!

I can see a BIG bonfire, a huge pot of chili, and some cold beers at the end of the day... :licking:

Soon as today's rain dries out in ANY of the pasture areas I'm going to start testing this and shoving piles of slash/mulch together for burning.

I'm excited to try it out!

David

Bdavis,

Not a commission from TSC, I suspect $199 is close to their wholesale price. No from RatchetRake themselves for selling so many of them.

I too was waiting and watching every thread and as soon as I got a 10% coupon I was going to go in and buy one. I'm MUCH happier with the $199, even if I did have to drive 60 or so extra miles!

I owe you one sir.

Thanks again for the good deed telling us all about this deal.

Be well,
David

I will have to modify it to fit my smaller bucket, but that is why I bought the welder years ago.

LstInThot & ReallyNeedaTractor,

Just my 2 cents...

I would try NOT cutting it shorter first. Add the hooks and such to srtap it on, but given you are using it as a rake, and not a bucket, who cares if it sticks out farther than your bucket or even wheelbase? It is no different than if I put an 8' york rake on my 6' wide tractor. I seriously doubt the RR would bend on the ends sticking out. it will not exceed lift capacity.

Just a thought. Candidly, if it works for my needs, I'm going to wish mine was 84" or more...

:2cents: Your mileage may vary.
Be well,
David

I have a 60" bucket on my LA524 loader. It's on a Kubota L3800.

Will the 72" RR fit with no mods by chance?

Thanks.

I'm gonna drop by my Tractor Supply today on my way to work to see if they have a 72" in stock...
My bucket is only 54" but if I can get the 72" for that price I will...
I just wonder if the mounting straps will still work with the cutting edge being 9" longer on each side of my bucket.
Has anyone here bought a 72" and put it on a 54" bucket?
Did you do any mods to mount it?
If the straps will fit on my current bucket I would leave it alone...
I guess I will take a tape measure with me today and measure the mounting bracket locations on the 72" rake...
That is if they have one in stock...

On the 72" rake:
The one thing that would be close is the upper brackets. If you don't have 60 1/2" on the INSIDE of the bucket you will have to figure something out.

If you look there are four mount brackets. All are 20" center to center to the closest one. The outer two are 60" center to center. The inner pair are 20" center to center. For overall width add 1/2" since they are 1/2" stock.

So your bucket is less than 60" wide try using the the center two hookup points. If you are right at the 60-62" width, just offset and use an end and center mount point.

I wondered if they thought four straps might be required to keep the largest rake on the bucket. Then testing only required two, since that all the mount kit contains.

The inner top brackets do not have corresponding under brackets to hold the cable, only the outers. If you use the inner top brackets then you will have to make something on the lower side to connect the cables to.
