Overpowered, overpriced new cars

OP here, I paid only 20 grand for my 4210 with attachments and I would rather have three of them than one flashy, overpriced, 60 grand Shelby.

Yeah but...$26.5k for the Mustang V6 that has way more power than one would ever need AND a tractor is what I'm talkin bout. Never drove the new Shelby, but the 2011 GT scared me.

Some of the guys on here comment on the over priced, over powered cars, and then go out and buy the Cadillac of tractors to plow snow.......

My dad owns a 1970 #s matching corevette 350/350hp 4 speed, small cam upgrade, otherwise stock. Real fun to just cruise around in. I own a 1970 Chevelle, a little rough around the edges, a constant project. I like the new cars, but the idea of actually being able to work on my chevelle versus not knowing where to start on the new ones is a major turn off, not to mention the ridiculous price tags. The only car that somewhat excited me over the past few years was the drag pack challengers dodge had out a few years ago. Bare bones drag racer, still a little pricey.

I just don't understand why putting the 5.8 supercharged motor in the mustang cost so much more to make than a V6

The First Generation was even smaller... the "40" comes from the height if I remember correctly...

Too small for my 6'1 frame, even with a Gurney Bubble. Even the modern edition was too small, interior wise, although i might be willing to make the sacrifice

I'd have to shop around, but I'd say about $500 would be sufficient.

Last night the wifey and I were watching one of the factory shows. This one was about the Bentley Mulsanne. This is the second time I have seen a show on the building of a Bentley.

I want one. :laughing:

They are works of art that can go over 180 mph. 0-60 in 4.9 seconds. I want one.

But I would be afraid our gravel road would nick the paint. Going to the grocery store I would be scared someone would ding the car with a cart. Even though it is almost as long, and I am guessing, as heavy, as a Suburban, I am not sure we could pack everything we normally do on a vacation.

So I guess we will not buy one. It is just not practical.

Or maybe we cannot buy one because it costs over $300,000!

I still want one. :laughing:

I wonder if Match Box has a one yet?
