People who say "you cannot get something for nothing" obviously have never visited TBN.

I was sparring with a former work associate in an online forum (newspaper) this morning and he asked me what my favorite online site was, I told him TractorByNet.com | Compact Tractors | John Deere, Kubota, New Holland and he came back with "What on earth woud I possibly learn there, the best way to pull a stump out of the ground"...and I told him yes, plus a whole bunch of other things. If he doesn't take the hint, it's his loss !!!

Funny, because after all these years, I do not frequent the tractor forums as much(have had a Kubota, now hav3 NH, Had a Farmall, and help my Dad with his 9N). I mostly look at trailer forum, and Rural/Related/Front Porch forums...

Always learning something new, or finding links to something new and interesting.

I have been a member since Feb. 2005. 7 years next month plus the 2 years I was checking in as a guest since 2003. Wow, how time flies.

I used to read just about every post when I joined. Now I check in several times a day but have to select which threads to read. I just don't have the time to read several hundred posts every day. If I did I would be on here all day and no work would be done. Just since I checked in last night there has been 280 posts. Usually its over 300.

The site is now pushing toward 3,000,000 posts. It seems like yesterday (October 2006) they were closing in on 1,000,000 and sent us those nice TBN bumper stickers.

I have used many good ideas brought up here, made and modified my own attachments, posted a few of my projects. There is such a wealth of knowledge here. I am grateful the owners of the site started it.

Disagree respectfully, I have noted here I was away from mid 2006 thru the end of 2010. Since I didn't log in nor post during that period I think my membership should be shortened by that amount of time.

I think it's great that some of the members who have been here since before TBN was even called TBN are among the first to reply to this thread... still active almost daily after 12 years. We're coming up on our 14th anniversary! :confused2:

I'm guessing 37-40 years old ?

I always like having guys from different countries show up. It is not every place I could post a question about Scotland and get an opinion same day. Having people from all over the world is a great bonus in my opinion.
