I have a 49 inch loader. Any opinions on whether I should buy the 72 inch and cut it down or pay another $100 and get the short model that fits my loader?

My opinion...if you can do the modification yourself, buy the 72" rake. If you can't, buy the one made for your bucket size.

I would buy the larger one... save some money and make two shorter ones. A 48" and a 24" mini one
I didn't measure where the two inner tabs are at but would think you would only need to add an extra bottom tab...Hoping to head up to the farm this wk/ed to play with the RR.

Got some seat time today with my RR and every time I use it all I can say is WOW I am so glad I got mine. When I was in the Bedford VA TSC they still had one 72" on the shelf I wish I had got that one. The one I got had been kept outside. cables a little corroded. still works great.

My bucket is 54" and need no modifications...
Just attach using the two inside top hooks and then wrap around your bucket to the two outside under bucket hooks...
I used it yesterday in some thick brush for over an hour and everything held up well...

- Bought a used Kubota MX 5000, FEL, BH, - Dec. 2011. Traded in my beloved 1967 MF 135D. Miss the old reliable girl but I understand she promptly found a new home - a replacement for an older 8N.
Bought a 72 inch Rake yesterday from Sault Ste Marie Mi. TSC. Like others here on the forum I found that the TSC employees knew nothing about this product and even questioned if I had really seen one in their compound. It appears that this store like others had brought in one of each of the three lengths and had yet to sell one. That changed yesterday.
I live in the sister city, Sault Ste Marie Ont. (Canada). On a good border day I am only 20 minutes from the Mi. store.
Initial installation on my 6' Kubota loader was a breeze - fits perfectly. Thus far I have only used it to scarify the ice buildup on our 100' driveway - at most a 5 minute job but it worked great. Much preferred to 20 lb. of salt. With 5 rural properties totaling about 400 acres of forest I expect to get my monies worth on this investment. The rake itself is built like a tank. The weakness is likely to be the vulnerability of the tightening ratchets to mechanical and wear damage from limbs and brush. Fortunately they will not be hard nor expensive to replace. In summary this was money well spent. I cannot say that about everything I have bought!

Called around to the TSC's in the northeast with no luck.
I'll give anyone a case of Sam Adams if you'll deliver one to me.

Ask the TSC store to do a search by computer. They should be able to tell you the closest stores that have one in stock.
