I was shocked to see the prices on Ruger revolvers, no more the poor man's gun!

JB

Yeah, they've gone up a couple bucks...the single action models are still quite reasonable compared to the competition though (except for the Italian clones...and I'm not 100% sure about them since Beretta bought one or two of them out).

That is so true, not to long ago I bought a Ruger .357 with a 6" barrel for around the high two's.

I only have two guns. One (shotgun) is for killing four legged critters that come into my garden and the other one (pistol) is for killing two legged critters that come into my home. They are also interchangeable.

I never let my wife know when I'm buying a gun...one of the few times I believe in "Better to Beg Forgiveness, then Ask Permission"

Always use the same gun case / gun rug to bring them in and out of the house. When you are stopped and asked "What is that?", you answer truthfully and say one of three things -
1. My rifle.
2. My shotgun.
3. My handgun.

Don't dilly dally, just answer one of those three and keep moving. She ain't your range buddy, remember, you aren't trying to impress her. Just answer short, simple, confident, don't act nervous, and keep walking. Just move them one at a time, same simple carrying case to enter and exit the house.

Gun addiction is one thing its the inevitability of owning firearms and then the next "step" is reloading to feed the habit.

This is what will help pay for more guns in more calibers and give you more reasons to go to the range to work up loads.

Then on to local practical pistol matches to stay honed and sharp and of course see other cool guns to buy. :D

Oh and after just reading another post learn that to most wifes one gun is the same as another dont talk about the ones you buy for yourself buy some for her and then borrow them.
