I think my dealer reads alot of the posts on this website, but doesn't post. He has a JD day coming up on March 3rd. Pancake breakfast with a bluegrass band. Pretty nice setup. I'll ask him.

I think the salesguys at my local dealership have started to read the posts here on TBN, too. (Since I've mentioned the web site and the buying/pricing information that users have posted.)

Certainly hope so... maybe they'll finally "get a clue" and recognize that the business strategy they've followed for the past 50+ years is not a good fit for today's tractor world!

Anymore than today's tractor's are the same as they built 50+ years ago!

Exactly why I posted this. I don't see how they haven't figured out what free marketing means...

Be able to post on here and show your knowledge and spread not only the brand, but dealers name, sure seems like there would every dealer on "the worlds largest tractor community"

Any JD dealer I have ever talked to was so darn arrogant and conceited that they could not imagine anyone buying anything but green.:mur:

More so than a dealer, I would like to see a Designer/Engineer from Deere on here.

This forum is pretty well represented - we've got Bota dealers and Kioti, New Holland, Mahindra and so on. The big brands are pretty well represented, except there is not one Deere dealer! What's up with that? I can't imagine why it would be against any corporate policy that they couldn't come and spread the brand as every other major brand has a dealer (or more) on TBN. Is it just some sort of very odd coincidence or does Deere really not let them on?

Can't speak for other dealers but, personally, I like the forums because it helps a dealer rep like myself of 12 years at a small C&CE dealer see things from a customer's perspective and I like to chime in whenever possible to help people. Deere doesn't have any kind of policy that I am aware of that would prohibit them from posting on any forum. Just rejoined and haven't posted a lot yet but having an app for Android phones is definitely a plus. Hope I can participate and help out more.

Spoke not long ago to the owner of a local Kubota dealership. Asked him if read any of the tractor forums to learn what owners are experiencing. He raised his voice and answered, I wanted to know that I would just read what Kubota puts out?

Deere is huge. Their big revenue/profits come more from the larger equipment they produce and sell as opposed to the smaller compacts and subcompacts. Go down to your Deere dealer and start to show interest in a new 6000 series and up tractor and you'll see what I mean. Seems to be a factor around here anyway, but I must say the Deere dealerships are better than they were years ago, i.e., more interest and less arrogance.
