ya that is the clamp i was talking about. A lot of places i am having to fence i cant get the tractor into. I put this on my hitch on my atv,

Makes it much easier then trying to carry a roll by hand.

Yeah thats nice, can also bend a piece of small conduit into a U shape and and pull it while wire rolls on ground(cheap:D). A good pair of fencing plierspliers.jpg and also a good pair of leather gloves that fit good.

I am still kicking my own but, i had my great grandfathers fencing pliers in my coat pocket and i lost them out in a field. I have never found them. I liked them alot as the grip in the top was split it wasnt a single point.

One of the best gizmos that I've ever come across is the one-man unroller handle. It just hooks into the handle on the roll of the barbed wire (it's T-shaped with hooks underneath it) and then you can just walk and carry the wire and it unrolls behind you. I like to use my Yanmar with an unroller bar for open spaces, but when I have to go through the woods, the hand unroller is great.

On the Rural King website, it's called a Speeco Barbed Wire Carrier.

FWIW, I usually use wooden corner posts and 6'-6" T-posts about every 12'. The only times that the T-posts lean are when the cows keep sticking their heads through the fence.

Good luck and take care.

i use a normal fence stretcher, put it inline in the fence tighten it up. Cut it, and put a splice in the fence then release the stretcher. Works great until the bull jumps it, and crushes it then the splices come apart.

Do you know where to get a pair of fence pliers like the ones i described? I would seriously spend 50 to 60 bucks for a pair of them over these cheap junk ones that are 10 to 20 bucks.

thanks man, ya i was so mad at my self for loosing my pair. Its sad when a +100 year fencing pliers work better then new ones. The new ones i dont like either is most of the time you cant hardly operate them with one hand they are to tight.
