Barbed wire fence help

If you use wood post & brace posts between the T-post leaning isn't a problem. T-posts lean when you try to cut corners/save time & not use wood posts between them. I have found that where I fenced & used 3 t-post spaced 15 ft apart & then put in wood post the fence hasn't leaned any.

the fence that was straighened an retightened has drill stem corners an H braces.an has prolly been up close to 20yrs an this is the 1st time its been touched.we just put in 2 new 4 an 5 wire fences last year.an we went an cut big boris d arc corner an pull post.those fences will out last me i hope.still have alot of old fences that need replacing tho.

those look exactly like the pair i lost. Those have the split nose on the top?

thanks man, ya i was so mad at my self for loosing my pair. Its sad when a +100 year fencing pliers work better then new ones. The new ones i dont like either is most of the time you cant hardly operate them with one hand they are to tight.

You might want to look at Moore Maker out if Matador, Texas. They make knives and some fence tools. They have several fence pliers but none seem to have a split staple puller. Sure can see how that would be handy. You may be able to get them to make you a custom tool.

nah man, i will get a pair you keep those. I thank you for helping me find a pair i had looked before, i might look at some of the new higher priced ones and see if they are split like these old ones are.

I know that different top makes wire clips work alot better as well.

One thing that anoys me is how light weight the new tposts are. I have some that are 60 years old that you have to have a tractor run over them to bend them. These new ones i can bend by hand.

Good morning ,I agree that you would need to break that 1400 foot run.You probably wouldnt get any strain on wire over that distance without purposely doing a suspension fence>Not great for animal containment in small areas.I only normally do about 100 metres in each run ,it helps keep tight.(just finished replacing about 2 kilometres of fence that washed away):(
