When do we test run it?

I am LIVID at the folks whom have dropped the ball several times now
regarding shipping my wanted discounted hydraulic fittings. My disgust
grows by the second. I have this project but additionally I need other
parts and my tractor is down.

I placed an order Sunday explaining I needed my parts yesterday and that
my tractor is down. Here it is Thursday AND THE PARTS THEY HAVE IN
STOCK, STILL HAVE NOT SHIPPED. . .(of which are the ones I need )

I was sent an email 2 days ago telling me they were short a few parts and do
I want what they had in stock shipped. I replied instantly, YES SEND WHAT YOU HAVE...,
guess what? I should have had the parts today, tomorrow latest, but no,
there more interested in fullfilling other peoples orders obviously.

An almost 2 week delay this will turn into because they will go home and enjoy
their weekend instead of taking care of bad blood. I was offered the
chance to spend and extra HUGE amount of money to get the stuff faster,
so I
could pay more money, because they dropped the ball. THAT Erks me
more than anything, they should have forgot about all profits and
shipped overnight ON THERE DIME, but no....couldn't possibly do that now could we!

No One Gives a Darn
About Nothing Anymore, I am the last of my breed I think. If a client
contacted me and said they were "down" and needed assistence I would drop
whaterver I am doing and go help, AND I HAVE, more times than I can count.

Here ya go Chris, pics of the Fasse push Button Grip, this could be used for
anything, a horn, any implement you want to send momemtary power to.
It is substancial, nice stuff! It comes w/ an adaptor for this installation that
is a nice part in and of itself! It is a square to round adaptor, the botton of
the PBGrip is square, this turns it into round for the BX25. I made
additional sleeve out of a piece of 1/2" Type "L" copper and drilled a couple of
holes so the set screws would work. It would be almost perfect if the sleeve
were cut from Type "K" copper and when I run into a piece I will make anew.

this thread may be my bible when I do the same on my rig. I understand your frustration and hope you can get this all back on the road soon...

Artisan, thanks for the pic's. I now see how that set up will work for energizing / de-energizing the Fasse valve. Looks very ergonomic. So I take it the sleeve for the Fasse handle is a little too big for the BX FEL stick and you made up a bushing to adapt it. Good to know.

Sorry to hear about your shipping delay. I imagine it's frustrating to be so close to final assembly after all the weeks of planning and fabricating. I'm sure you just wanna' start that BX, drive over to a nice big log or rock, hit that 3rd function button and get'r done!! Soon enough, soon enough (we all hope )

Artisan,
I had the same problem with my orders and express shipping. I did each stage of my installation so I could use the tractor. So my tractor is up, but it is too wet here to do anything!

I got tired of waiting for shipping, so I just started paying my local hyd. shop to overnight any fittings I need and they don't have. The price works out to be about the same when shipping is added in an online order.

My hold up has been Discount Hyd. Hose on the fittings I returned and wanted to use that credit for the purchase of reuseable fittings and bulk hose.
hugs, Brandi

I would've just looked in yellow pages for hydrualic shop and give them a visit. Theey would've had you all hooked up with parts you need.

I thought I was guilty of over engineering and over complicating my fabrication projects with too much attention to detail, but you bring it to a whole new level. All this just to put a button on a joystick? Isn't it amazing what some people will do once an idea sprouts and starts to grow. Looks good though, and at least the plumbing should be simple. Sounds like you're getting an education in hose and fittings as well as the welding, eh?

Oh do you ever know it Harry. I am learning everything I missed out upon
as a kid while I was flying airplanes and scuba diving and working my butt off
as a Journeyman Union Plumber and chasing Playboy models in Newport
Beach (Believe It) , again, as a kid, before the wife. I wish I had found much
of this stuff earlier in life especially my Harley FLTRI, but it is never to late...
Yes were learning hoses and fittings too. Welding is a hard one to learn
alone. I pick up tips here and there on YouTube, a formal teach, hands on,
would be nice. Someone to tell me if my Miller Vintage is performing correctly
as well would be nice. I don't know enough to know better. But were trying.
it sticks, I see penetration. I have made fittings mistakes, I expect, and hope, it will not happen again...:confused2:

...and yes, I have way of making things RIGHT! :D

...and no, not to put a button on a joystick, I need to move "a" log.

PS, The responce time of my little Fasse Pushbutton switch inducing the coil,
that being the time it takes to switch between circuits, I am told, is less
than 100 milliseconds, or 1/10th of a second. On average it takes 300-400
milliseconds to blink your eyeballs! So put that in your overengineered
pipe and smoke it! hehe
