I see what looks to be at least 4 unique colors in your mix. Your bound to find at least one of those colors that you could buy more of someplace else & randomly mix them into your originals, no? Or are yours of unique dimensions?

beepington, they are unique, they are cut to require a 1/4" space between each paver - they do not touch because of non tapered ends. They are also clay not cement and they are 1/2" thicker than most pavers.

One final dumb thought from me. . . Have you thought of craigslist? You might post your needs on craigslist for the specific paver in the Austin/Bryan areas. With all the housing explosion in Round Rock and Georgetown, you just might get lucky. A picture of your driveway could be added. It's a needle in a haystack, but it doesn't cost anything.

Okay, one double-final dumb idea. . . You might add a compass rose in the Q-section. It would normally be in the center, but I doubt Karen would let you cut down that tree.

Sigh. . .:ashamed: Third dumb idea. . . Instead of a compass rose, do a big circle with a "B" in the middle.

I'm going to use some of Ron's and TBN suggestions.

I like the idea of a compass rose.

Today I counted pavers to get an exact (+ - 5) count.

There are 3835 pavers left and I have 90 feet of driveway left. section dividers will leave 88'. The drive is exactly 29 pavers wide and 3 pavers long covers 2 feet. That means I need 3828 pavers to complete the "O" only. I do not have enough for the slash in the Q. At my count I will be 7 pavers over.

To stretch a few I will put a 8'X20' cemented car wash pad next to the golf cart porte-cochere. It will be boarded by pavers on each side along with the slash of the Q to tie things together. I'll buy extra pavers for the compass rose which I will frame the boarders into the cement.

Below is a crude drawing. Green is cement red is pavers.

Thanks for all the suggestions, if you have any more now is the time.

Don,
Been busy replacing some floors in the house. I was going to suggest to add more concrete dividers. But you hit the nail on the head with the 8x20 wash pad.

NEW PLAN! I found clay pavers.

Since Acme Brick (clay paver plant) shut down I was short on pavers to finish the drive. I just could not get enthused about pouring cement on the drive so I took out on a quest. I first went to Paverstone's manufacturing plant in San Marcus and they made only cement pavers, the right size and color but the texture was different. They referred me to Claymex in New Braunfels and there they were. They are making a batch for me this week!

// Claymex //

On the first photo the three on the right are Pavestone and on the left Claymex, I'll be getting the the top two on the left the lower third one is too orange.

On the second photo the two colors of Claymex pavers are on top of Acme pavers.

On third photo section 5 and 5.5 the one I'm prepping the drive for pavers now. (5.5 is a second exit/entrance ramp on the circular drive.)

Congratulations on finding a suitable substitute for the original pavers. This has been a huge project and I admire your strength to move all of those bricks. Using the Claymex weight of 4.6 per brick you will have moved over 30 tons of bricks literally brick by brick. Good job. Rick

Glad to hear it Don. Nothing like a road trip too.

Good find Don. Are you going mix the Claymex bricks in with the Acme bricks.
