Pretty sure that's already occupied by the injection pump.

I mean on the front side of the engine, like the other front mounted pump. I'll take another look at mine.

There isn't another accessory take-off on the left side front, so you are limited to two on the right side. I assume this would be the same on all TY x90 engines.

Well it looks like I have same Hercules 2224 tractor with the unusual twin pump setup. I need to remove/replace the steering pump driver. I was wondering how you went about removing the gear assembly so as I can get to the pump driver. The gears look OK. Any information would be greatly appreciated.

Why not consider a belt driven pump or even driving a pump off of the crankshaft via a universal joint?

On my little tractor I U-joint drive a second pump for greater GPM's for my FEL. I made an adapter that bolts to the C/S fanbelt pulley.
Have been running that setup for 10 years w/o any problems.

Piloon my Kubota uses a front crankshaft driven pump for the front end loader. It has the hyd. tank mounted on the right side loader up right. Unit is 35 years old, but have been able to keep it running.

My old 1959 MF65 had a crankshaft driven pump (front of engine) on the front of the tractor for the FEL too. I was still able to get the parts when I managed to break the drive coupling disc. Straight forward set up and easy to install/replace

thanks for the input. Am looking to see if anybody has a picture of how to convert to a one pump or series of pumps on the TY290 engine as advised by other posts.
