still.. no sand.. that's a plus!

I still have over 5 gallons of 38 special brass from Bass Pro.. I taught the women's handgun seminars (the range portion not the lecture) for over 10 years. Bass Pro provided the ammo I provided the guns. I took the brass, and all the rest I could find lying around..:)

We carried Glocks and were required to keep them concealed at all times so most of us wore vests.

As I wrote, I carry OWB mostly, if I'm carrying a handgun too large to pocket carry. For concealment, I wear a vest from Cabela's...called a Safari Vest, IIRC.
I can't find the picture now...but it's on TBN somewhere. Shows me on the Deere with the vest...Glock 19 under the vest.

I'm lucky in that I have a pistol range in my back yard. If I had to drive anywhere I would probably never shoot or at least even more infrequently.

RRR,

Loving that picture sir!

Oh the irony of it all!

Another time, a guy went up behind a cop and pulled a gun. I drew and said something as I started to shoot.
Wow what else happened! What did the cop do?

I have a few different holsters, I also have a sig arms jacket. Looks like a carhart but has an inner pocket with loops that you can put your gun into. It does take practice drawing it. I think it works better
for a smaller gun, my sig 239 is fine in it also our little lcp 380 is perfect in it.

I don't remember what I said. He froze as my squeeze was almost complete. I held fire. People were the backstop! Then he took off running. The cop turned around then and asked what else was happening??? I told him and he said Thanks and to boogey as they were too.

It was at the end of a long event. We saw the police in a foot chase The lost, so I asked if they wanted to get in back of the truck. I took a shortcut that included a long run down the wrong side of a divided avenue. Then a capture of 2, and then a crowd of about 75-100 individuals. We were in a very bad area with a shooting every few weeks. It took over 30 minutes for backup and and two more cops. Wife was armed too, but that perp was on my side of truck. The whole thing was extremely tense.

Being in a state with CCW laws, I will help if necessary. In NY, for example, the cops are going to be on their own.

What kind of press do you use? The press I was convinced that was all but perfect resizes the case mouths automagically.....
Ok I paid big $$$$ but it is cool!
Dillon XL650...

presses don't resize.. DIES do. ( and a 20$ lee classic C press will do it with a 25$ set of lee dies just as good as a 190$ RCBS rock chucker and xseries 45$ die sets. :) )

just about all FL or SB die sets resize the mouth with a force ball and decap .. I HAVE seen a few die sets that purposfully do not neck size..

My point was.. with brass with damged case mounts.. if some of them are dented in more than about 3/32" the edge will fold over when you try to resize, as the ball will not force it open, but roll it. thus using a small tool to open the mouth a bit before resizing may be needed.

In wormer weather I carry my Kel-Tec PF9 IWB when I go out on the fields or on the trails. In colder weather I put the PF9 in my insulated coverall in a chest pocket or in my coat pocket with the holster. I'm very picky about keeping my gun clean. If I'm working in a dusty area, like mowing or tilling, I clean the gun when I get back to the house.

With coyotes and crazy people, I feel safer having my side arm with me.

I am thinking I have about 6 gallons of 9mm Para. That is a lot of 9's as they are pretty small. and maybe 3 or 4 gallons of .40 S&W. and about 4 gallons or so of .45acp.. I have a Dillon RL 550. We didn't get paid at Bass Pro, we were just volunteers.. but I got "paid" in brass:) That and brass I picked up a the Area 3 and Fall Classic for a few years (IPSC matches in Mo.)
