Yes, if only everyone carried there would be a lot fewer dead from guns. Obviously, more guns equals less gun deaths. More gun restrictions in violation of the Second Amendment means more dead from gunners. It should be mandatory that we all carry.

Oh if only you would have been there to save all those people we would all be so grateful to you.

This killer's preparations were extensive. He wore full body armor and a gas mask, used two gas canisters to start the panic, and had plenty of ammunition and backup weapons. He evidently had some intelligence, as he was in a neuroscience PhD program, but he turned it to pure evil. I don't see how to prevent such people from committing their crimes without abrogating so many civil liberties that our whole society is turned upside down.

The most analogous recent crime is that mass murder of 77 in Norway, July 22 last year. This evil creep may well have been inspired by that one. There are enough differences between US and Norwegian law to suggest that legal obstacles don't affect such monsters much. The possibility of armed victims in Colorado might have prompted the body armor, but it didn't prevent the attack.

Not sure of your point, the criminals involved in the North Hollywood bank shootout were wearing heavy body armor and I'm pretty sure it wasn't out of fear of armed citizens. There is simply a trend for criminals to wear body armor regardless of the situation.

Many people are now training for head shots that never did before.

So once again, the hue and cry will go up for more stringent gun control, and not a word will be spoken about the mega-violent movies that often seem to spawn these maniacal sprees. The purveyor of this mayhem apparently fancied himself to be "The Joker..." Hair painted red. Obviously mentally ill, and quite influenced by the violence he sees on screens, large and small. I'm not one for banning ANYTHING, and these violent movies fall into that catergory, but I find it odd, and quite hypocritical that the Hollywood types that produce gun violence for the screen, are the most rabid anti-gunners that would deny the rights of legitimate gun owners.. Arnold Schwarznegger being a good case in point...

Save me from the hypocrits that wish to limit MY rights!
