That's a very broad brush..First off..GM covered the guage clusters

Then they forgot about me!

I had my yukon in 3 times with gauge problems. and it still has issues and is out of warranty.. and out of extended warranty now.. so I live with them.

just to stir the pot.. and keep in mind.. I'm pro dodge and ford.. and nti gm..

what about the killer dowell pin issue on the older 5.9?

PS.. update.

I'm now on my 4th ww pump on my yukon, and after much cursing and work.. It actually works and does not leak. Only took 12 years to get it fixed correctly!! yeah for me!

Well mine has well over 300k on it so it must not be a real problem.....

All kidding aside it is a legitimate problem. It is, however, very easy and cheap to repair. Kinda like the crappy lift pumps on the 24v trucks. Just put a quality lift pump on there and the VP44 will live a LONG happy life.

You can buy now buy the stepper motors to fix the individual gauge.

unless it shows up for free and the gm free labor gnome also shows up, and installs it one night while I'm sleeping.. I don't forsee me pursuing any more repairs on that vehicle that aren't needed to keep it on the road.

Funny that you still keep such a cursed vehicle. I had a cursed Ford minivan that lifted it's heads at 63,000. Fixed it and sold it because I found out later that particular Ford V-6 douled as a boat anchor. Fast forward 8 years and a guy comes down to my farm in one. It was making a lot of tapping noise. I asked him "did the heads lift"? He said, yeah, only 3 times. lol

Speaking of boat anchors, I think I'm gonna try to push to to get my Superduty done and try to get a '12 leftover 6.7. Who knows what problems they have. Haven't had time to read up on them because I'm always on truck forums reading up on the 6.4L problems LOL

How about deleting the vehicle instead of the egr valve!
Unbelievable JUNK!
Why you guys bother screwing with this junk is beyond me. Manufacturers warranty or extended your paying for it again and again and again.....:confused3:
And then there's NO RESALE value.
Sounds like YOU"RE doing FORD's BAILOUT all by yourselves:eek:

ps.. yes.. that took me near a half hour to type in on a pad!

Yep, but we can read it!!!

I test drove an F350 with the 6.0L diesel a few years back. Nice truck, but the horror stories just scared me too much. It was more truck then I needed, but it was nice!
As someone wrote earlier, most of the problems were squared away by the 2005 models, but the bad reputation was hard to live down.

Well mines an 07 and it has all the problems, LOL.
And for Coyote Machine......why some of us screw with this junk.....because after what we paid to buy it in the first place it is hard to give it away for nothing. And after replacing half the engine I keep thinking someday it will be done. But now when my Ford dealer tells me it will never end......maybe time to cut the losses.

I love the truck and if I knew what I was going to end up spending on it to keep it running, I could have paid for the Cummins swap by now. Then I'd just have crappy fuel mileage, but at least it would run daily.

And mines an '08 and the problems carried forward to the next Ford diesel LOL
