If we go over the cliff it's our current dictator's fault for not being willing to work with what he has, he was offered plan B and is unwilling to consider it.
Taxes will go up for EVERYONE then his greatness will come back and "cut" taxes for the majority of us back to where they are now. Many will fall for the trick and hail him as some kind of God.
As someone mentioned it's the out of control spending that's the problem, I was all in for ron paul, because he was by far the most constitutionally based and fiscally responsible canidate.

Plan B was never voted on because the uber conservative wing of the Republican party would not follow their leader's strategy and tactics. The President never had a chance to consider it.

The Declaration did not but the Constitution was all about compromise. We run our government on the principles enumerated in the Constitution. The DoI was a manefesto.

The Constitution does not require us to compromise our rights. It merely delineates them. However, those who believe in God, also believe there are certain rights granted to them which are not delineated within written documents.

Island tractor touts the 1st amendment, and how it should be stricly upheld. I just wonder if he realizes just how that 1st amendment was trampled on in Missouri during the primaries in 2007 ?

No clue. Please provide a link to that story.

Not sure what unwritten rights you are referring to. The Constitution and Bill of Rights certainly don't mandate compromise on anything directly but most folks recognize that the political process is all about achieving deals and compromise especially when two parties share power.

That's right..........no clue. As others have said, you are only looking at the stories that benefit your cause.

I'll let you find the info yourself(if you are really interested), because anything I post you will have mistrust in as I'm a gun-nut(I currently own a 50 cal., a 45 cal. 3 - 22 cal.'s, a 7mm magnum, a 30-30, and a compound bow). But back to the story...........Law enforcement was used to stop citizens from talking about Obama.

So far, the shared power has done nothing but further our debt. Bind them down with the chains of the Constitution. The goal of the Tea Party is nothing less.

I don't want to play games but would be interested to know what you are referring to back in 2007. How about some key dates or names and I'll see if I can find it.

I guess you expect the Chinese and Russians to supply your rebels too eh? And you will move supplies 500 miles by bicycle along the Mitt Romney trail. I love it.

Your blithe estimate that 50% of the military would desert to overthrow the government sounds like a good start for a Hollywood action movie. It also suggests a lot of you guys never come out of your wingnut echo chamber. It appears that you are the treasonous ones hoping to destroy a democratically elected government. You going to replace it with a white guys only 'real' Americun Gummit of your own. You better do it soon as your numbers are dwindling.

More realistic would be a John Brown type insurrection lead by a few dozen extremists, quickly isolated and annihilated before the Ruskies could come to your aid. How'd Waco work out for you?

And for those of you who are so impressed by the political distinction between rural and urban areas, welcome to the 20th century. Where ya been for the past hundred years or so?

Happy New Year guys.

I expect most of the weapons would come from the US Military in various ways, actually...other nations may support a revolution in various ways...but not because they support the revolutionaries...but because they want to destabilize the existing government.

Your racist remarks ("white guys only"...) are pretty despicable and I'm surprised a liberal like yourself would bring up race.

No doubt on the out of control spending. We need cuts and lots of them. They must be thoughtful ensure our elderly and legitimately disabled are not impacted. Smaller government socially also should mean smaller government militarily. Not less advanced just smaller and keep our troops out of countries we don't belong in. How much has the misguided Iraq war cost? The estimate is 4 Trillion which we will be paying decades for.

If our president was a dictator as you suggest we would not be having this conversation, and the plan B, well not even the Republican Party supported that plan proposed by Boehner. It was not a genuine offer, he knew (and everyone knew) that it would fail.

And yes that is some magical trick for the president to fight so hard to keep taxes low for People under $200K. This crazy magician who is looking out for the middle class with his voodo, and letting us keep more of our earnings during tough times. Well you get my sarcasm :). I say it that way because I genuinely believe in this aspect. You do realize we have a tiered tax code and everyone including the rich get the benefits of the lower tax rate he is proposing right? It's just that when you make so much money the tax breaks on the low end of earnings that mean so much to you and I, aren't even material to them.

When I earn just a livable wage and pay 19% federal tax and people making millions are paying 12% something is WRONG!
