I wonder if anybody makes a Mig machine with hot start? It does take a little bit to get the plate hot. Then by the time you get to the top it is way too hot!

I've never used a machine with taps, I can't ever see myself owning one either.

If you're going to buy a machine, buy one of these, hands down the best machine I've ever run.:cool2:

Yep tap machines suck, but they are good for what they do. Sticking pieces of metal together. I've done some decent welds with them, but just can't do what I could with the big machines. Is that a single phase or three phase machine?

Both, just have to throw a switch in the back, and move 1-wire to go single phase, or 3-phase.

Are you happy with the Lincoln equipment? Everyone around here at the welding supplies are pushing millers. They claim Lincoln tech and warranty dept. are a pain to work with. I really don't care I'd like to get a new one. I need a Mig, Tig and a plasma cutter. Time to get updated!:thumbsup:

I've always been happy with my Lincoln welders. I had a small issue with the V350-Pro when I first got it. In my area there are only two welding repair shops. I've been going to one of them for years, they take very good care of me. They handle Lincoln and Miller for me!
I would really like to get my hands on a Miller XMT-350 to compare it to my V-350-Pro.
My Miller Dynasty 300 made a Tig weldor out of me! Miller vs Lincoln same thing as Ford vs Chevy vs Dodge. I think it boils down to the model that fills your needs.
If anything I lean towards Lincoln for engine drives, and I should know. In 1983 I paid $9,378.00 for this one.

Wow beautiful state! Good to know you. I'm a grunt working for the auto industry for now. Hopefully in 10 yrs. headed back to doing what I like to do. You have some nice equipment. I plan on starting to add to my collection. If I can get it past the wife!:thumbsup: Happy New Year!
