Saw an article where horse meat was found being served in schools and other places as beef in the UK currently.

Horse isn't bad, had some kabob's in Mongolia. It's more tender than you'd think it would be.

Everybody eats shark, half the scallops in the world are shark!
Mako is some good eating, most shark steaks are good.

My wife says that some of the best beef that she has eaten was the 2-3 year old cows who kept kicking and charging her at the dairy where she worked. They were all named

Locally I know a guy who is picking up unwanted horses for like $25 each banking on them opening a horse meat processing plan over in MO. In the LBL there are reports of people going in with horses and leaving without them and people just find them wandering the trails. Shooting and burying them is expensive but a horse meat market would give the system some relief. I will take a bite to taste it. Dad said he found out after the fact that he ate horse in Brazil when docked there during WWII.

I would prefer that there be a way for them to be used so that unwanted animals (such as a 15 year old horse) could be humanly put down without the owner having to pay an arm and a leg for it. Would probbaly cut way down on the amount of animals abandoned to starve to death

This years steer produced these strip steaks ! The best beef comes from cattle you raised yourself At least you know what it ate and how it was cared for ,Happy cows make GREAT STEAKS ! 1 1/2 thick and taste perfect ! View attachment 303049

We have a cow (named Belle) who will become steak this year. She will be 3, weigh at least 1500# and should be very tasty.

Dan, I think you'd have to ask a Dutchman (or possibly an Irishman since they seem to be selling it to the Dutch) .

A large proportion of scallops are also made from the wings of many "Ray" species.
