Our renters use a John Deere 7000 for their utility tractor with a bucket and he has duals, so no way does it fit down in anything. For precise work in close quarters they have a JD4610 eHydro, but mostly they use the 7000.

Wish I had his blade and he had a better one.....

I take exception to that statement. Here are some pics of the clevis on a side link for an 8540. Don't know why I don't have a complete picture. The black unit is for a john Deere 5085, it has more stroke than an OEM unit. Collapses more and extends more.

Okay Brian, I say this with love..... How much for your Kubota side link setup??? I got less than $300 in mine. ;););)

$540. Yours is a deal if a person has the time and know how to do it. I see that you have about $520 into your "TnT" set. That is a good price. How much time? My complete Top & Tilt set, hoses, flow restrictors the whole ball of wax, take out of the 3 boxes and you are in working order in less than 30 minutes is $910. That is with 3" dia cylinders, 1 1/2" dia rods, 12" stroke top link and an 8" stroke side link.

Not trying to put any of your stuff down what so ever. It all looks great.:thumbsup: Most people either don't have the equipment or the know how to build these. Your units look professionally built and look to be well done. It's always nice to be able to save a few $$$ when one can. ;)

I like your setup very much ovrszd, I have been thinking of making one for myself. I have wondered about welding the mounts to the cylinder, does it need t be disassembled or any precautions to not damage the cylinder ?
Just curious.

I just make sure I don't have the seals of the cylinder close to where I'm welding. Do both ends with the cylinder fully extended. When welding the rod end I make sure the heat doesn't travel up the rod and into the cylinder. I don't like to instantly cool a weld for fear of crystalizing. But again you can't let the heat build up on the rod either. Usually I can control that with a soaked cloth laying on the rod after welding.

No worries Brian. I didn't mean to put you on the spot either. I've heard nothing but good things about your products.

Yep, sure do like it myself, much better than the one I have.

I've got an old Rhino blade that I bought at a farm sale. It's a very durable frame but has a light duty moldboard, 7 ft, slightly bowed, no hydraulics. But it gets me by. :)

Same here, we have an old Woods and King Kutter; don't use them enough to justify the cost of a really good one.
