Buying Advice New B3350

Thanks for showing that. They didn't really zoom in on the loader QA that much - but right near the end they did get a halfway decent shot in passing of the lockdown pins on the QA - and they appear to be "outside" the loader arm. What that means is that it is possible that the lockdown pins at least - fall within the range to engage in the "standard" SSQA location (the 4" slots I detailed in post #124 ).

One of the responses earlier in this thread from Messicks indicated that the QA was non-standard. I guess we'll just have to wait and see what is non standard about it.

How about this:

The person who uploaded the last B2650 video was kind enough to shoot another video at my request showing a close-up of the new quick attach system. How cool is that! :)

That looks to me to be a standard SSQA. Could be wrong but looks standard to me.:confused3:

That's awesome. So it looks like the lock-down pins are located just outside the FEL arms. Which means (if you go back to the alignment picture I put in post #124) - that the lock-down pins should align with the standard location of the 4 inch slots from the SSQA standard.

looking at the video a few times and then going back to the SSQA measurements and trying to compare and I can't see anything that stands out that looks like it might not be standard.

It's been about ten days since I ordered - if I am to believe the salesman - I would expect the stuff to be coming in this week. I'm not sure I do (believe him that is) - but it would be nice to get a call before the weekend and get this ball rolling.

Agreed. Without measurements it's tough to tell from the video, but it does look fairly close to being standard.

Yeah, it does seem that way. Hopefully it will be in soon so you can take some detailed measurements of it! :)

The person who posted the video of the quick attach on the B2650 said it fits standard off-the-shelf SSQA attachments. This is really great news.

That is awesome news. I was envisioning being able to use SSQA configured attachments - but after doing some sort of mods to them. If they'll fit without mods - that's great.

I just got a call this afternoon that the Virnig rock bucket that I ordered a few weeks back - should be arriving next week. Still waiting to hear if the QA has shown up yet at the Kubota dealer - hopefully that will show up by next week also.

Uh... they are wrong. To someone with an untrained eye, its very easy to look at it and assume but its too narrow.

We'll probably look at building blank for the coupler or a filler plate to see if we can make it work... that will be a winter time project.

That was my thought too after seeing some of the pics - it looks like the lockdown pins actually line up with the spec on where the slots are - but the coupler itself (the part that's on the FEL) - is narrower than the SSQA standard - so it would be "floating" if you tried to hook it up to an attachment that met the SSQA standard.

Of all the potential problems - at least that is an easy one to fix. If Kubota had no met the standard in some other dimension - that would have been a harder problem to adapt to.

If you notice the top part of the QA is quite a bit wider than the loader arms. I am betting it is a SSQA.:drink:

I'm not arguing that this could be indeed narrower than a standard SSQA design (since I haven't seen one in person and I'm only going off the pictures/video), but I'm struggling to see where it differs in width. With those extensions at the top of the QA, it looks nearly identical in size to several others that I've compared it to.

Not only that, but the Kubota bucket also looks like it should work with standard SSQA compatible loaders. It would nice to have actual measurements on it to finally but this to bed! ;)
