Then they should know more about the parts they sell than me but I have my doubts. I cross referenced the PP(AL120022) for a 2255 and 1020 didn't show up by using the "where used search" box.

Well thanks for you're time, it's his problem I don't feel bad no more after what he said today. He want's me to pay for half the cost of repair
and parts.
He states that it is part my fault for pulling him to hard, I couldn't believe it, the worse part, he says he will sue me if I don't.
Well there go's my closest neighbor.

let him sue. he'll be out the parts cost.. and the legal filing fee's.

My neighbors tractor, a J.D. 2020 gas stalled at the bottom of his driveway and would not start. He asked me to tow it up the hill to his house, the tractor has a loader
so it had to be towed from the back (reverse).

I feel bad for him because I towed it. Any ideas what might be wrong with it ?

If he asked for the tow, it was his responsibility I can't see you owe him anything.

Sounds like a bluff to me. The machine was already broken down from who knows what, then he wants you to pay for half the cost of repair? Sounds like malarkey to me. If he can bluff you into paying for half that's half still in his pocket.

No he never gave any indication to slow down, plus I was pulling as slow as conditions would allow.

Here's the kicker, he and his wife just left my house ranting, and dropped off a copy of the bill $2,609.41 this includes parts and labor and the tow to the
mechanics shop. I just got off the phone with my lawyer, he told me to bring him the bill and write a short report of what occurred.

This man is known to me unreasonable among the neighbors in this area, which I can agree with at this point. I have been a person to try
and help someone in need if I could. But after hearing the things said by his wife and him, would make anyone think twice in the future. The language and threats
coming from his wife's mouth were unconscionable.
The threats were borderline, nearing criminal context, the lesser threats were involving my two Labs. which are very troubling, example: "The next Fu---ing time
I see you're dogs anywhere near my property I will shoot them "

It took a lot of restraint not do something I would have regretted, I just let them vent and told them to leave my property, also it seems the bill
was a little high, and I did state this to them. Of course they said I would be paying a lot more, once in court.
You never know what the day may bring.

Keep us posted . If he came to YOUR house ranting and raving you may think about calling the police and let them know he threatened you and your dogs. A police report will help showing he is unreasonable, you will also have more grounds for a restraining order if need. If he shows up again or makes one more threat then I would call for sure.
