Waxman;

Congrats on a beautiful new Kubota!

Only thing you may want to check is your departure angle with the smaller tires.

Really does seem like it will hang a lot; I guess it depends on your intended use.

Think about loading it on a trailer also; the smaller tires may make it almost impossible with the Bh on.

Thank you , We did have a hard time with unloading as you said would happen, So that settles it I'm going with the larger tires. I think I'll be better off all the way around.

I think thats the best idea myself!

Will she fit in the garage with the larger tires and the modded door? If not, you might have to re-mod the door to work. (I say this as someone who just rammed his ROPS into the doorframe for the first time, destroying the weatherstripping in the process!)

Should be no problem at 8.5 feet
Tractor hight with the larger tires is 89 inches, backhoe hight mounted 100 inches, door hight at 8.5 ft is 102 inches

What I really wanted was a Grand L in a B3030 size.

I don't really want a large tractor; the tires really bring the look of this tractor down to more of what I was looking for.

A Grand L cab with HST plus transmission

WaxMan, I think you will really like the Grand L. I know what you mean about not wanting a larger tractor, me neither. Kubota really ought to look into manufacturing a HST+ type transmission for the B series as the biggest complaint is the hydro whine. You won't have that with the new tractor. Also looking forward to all your "mods" that you plan to add. Congratulations on the new tractor!!! Stanley

This dealer - Ahearn Equipment in Spencer, Mass. - really goes above and beyond what is expected. They took my B3030cab in trade and someone is going to end up with a very nice well taken care of B3030 cab with Woods 7ft backhoe with a few extra options you can't get elsewhere.
All the people at Ahearn Equipment are excellent, really a different experience for me. Business is good at Ahearn and now I understand why. Also some pictures of the tires to show the difference. I'll post some side by side pictures once it's home. Shown is side by side with the B2650 same size as my b3030. A good idea or a mistake time will tell.

When I couldn't sell my 130 hour B3030 HSDCC locally, Ahearn saw it on Craigslist and contacted me even though I'm probably 6 hours or so from them in New York. In the beginning Justin (hope I remember it correctly!), the salesman wanted it for himself. Then they decided to make me a deal. I already had a Bobcat, so we traded for a brand new CAM Superline 6x12 dump trailer, 73" Erskine snow blower for my Bobcat and some cash.
So someone else also got a nice low hour B3030 from Ahearn and I got some needed equipment. They were great to deal with. We each drove half way for the equipment exchange and everything went smoothly. They were much more accommodating than my local Kubota guys would ever be. The locals wouldn't even reply to an email from a guy that they sold a tractor and several tons of wood pellets to.

Thanks very much Stanley, will be a different tractor now for sure with the larger tires. Here are some pictures from today and some past mods done to the B3030. I hope it goes to a good home. Which tractor in the pictures is the new one?

The mods installed were dash gauges, exhaust stack, running lights, backup camera, two way dome light, backhoe stabilizer locks, headliner speakers, bucket level indicator, DVD player, horn and soundproofing.
Besides the horn, soundproofing and dome light. I'll probably do these things to the Grand L

Congrats on the tractor. Since you are going with the larger tires are you changing buckets?

Yeah I was thinking I would have to, the tractor is getting bigger by the moment.

Just curious if the dealer or you figured out if the different tire diameters would give a problem with the mechanical ratio (front - rear gearing) of the 4wd. There have been many discussions about mixing tire types - R1 on back, R4 on front, etc., but you've taken it to a whole different level! I wouldn't have a clue whether "L" sized fronts and rears have the same relative diameters as what goes on "B" platform tractors.

The dealer said it would not be a problem. The tires were L to L nothing to do with B's They were a matched set from the L3800. Not an issue now either way since I'm putting back on the factory r4's and the larger bucket. :(
The tractor just keeps getting bigger everyday, they grow up so fast.
