we'll see how this is.

I thought $40 was fair for 5 gallons. Not much other type of paint can be bought for $8 a gallong. Heck even cheap latex house paint is that much.

I got a wagoner. we'll see how it does too.

DO strain it.... maybee a couple times. IE.. thin and pour off to another bucket. continue to thin till the wagner drip gauge says it is good. then strain again.. and use..

I would brush the cross members/ anything that is not visible and spray everything that is visible.

Well I got it all painted now. Had to wait on the rain to stop today:mur: And yep, it was like tar.

Boy what a mess it was spraying it. I had it all over me and that stuff is STICKY. Had to take a shower with mineral spirits:confused2:

I am going to get the boards tomorrow. They were just sawn saturday or today. So...Soundguy, should I let the boards dry out any?? or coat them with this stuff now??

TSC has the refective red and white tape your looking for. Cheaper at Habor Freight. The fresh sawn lumber will show you all sorts of tricks while it is drying. You can reply with pride when the license bureau askes you the color of your trailer. It really does look nice.

Wow, that looks good. How long does it stay on if trailer only used in the summer?

Let the boards dry or they will shrink and have wide cracks

And "sticker" them like this as they dry. May help from twisting, etc....
If the white oak is a 2 x 8 it may shrink up to 4%. So let it air dry for a couple of months. Put a piece of tin on top of the wood. Keeps the rain off and
allows the air to pass through the wood for drying.
