I certainly dont think its latex based. I think this is an emulsion paint that just uses water as a carrier.
Like I said, the water-cleanup is only good within minutes of getting it on something. Then it gets real sticky like road tar, and you need mineral spirits to cut it.
Either way, Its got to be better than not painting it, cause that would have been my other option. I'm not out much, just a few hours of spraying with the wagner painter and $40 of paint. The only areas That I am expecting to wear off (and I dont know any paint that would hold up) is the ramps and the rub-rails in the area that I chain stuff down.
Soundguy, what was your thoughs on my questions to the lumber?? You mentioned coating the underside before I put it on. The boards are going to be green. Just sawn saturday. Do I need to let them dry a bit before coating them with this stuff. If so, that kinda rules out doing the under side cause the boards are going on this weekend. I am getting the boards this morning, but the screws wont be delivered till tomorrow:mur:
