It would be interesting to hear from the former neighbors of this dog owner, as he was new to Tim's area.

While I was at the hospital the State Police investigator stopped by and he is looking into that. The charges are still pending based on information he uncovers. If there was any former complaints things will be "significantly upgraded" and it will add a whole "different dimension" to the incident.

That makes sense. And who knows, it's possible the owner was a decent guy and pet owner and this was a freak happening. It's just too bad his dogs weren't teacup chihuahua's...

Not quite the size differential I was looking for. But yeah they probably would have just been "bumping" Tim's neighbor with the stick they brought along.

The collar that was on the dog is evidence the dog was hard to control and the owner was sufficiently aware of it. Bottom line is he harbored a dangerous dog and knew it.

Not necessarily. I used a prong collar on our Newfy. Sweet dog, just too much power when out walking her (they have been used as draft dogs for logging!) A short while with the prong collar and she became much more enjoyable to walk with.

As for the pit bull breed, I have known people with very sweet and friendly pit bulls. I think the big issue is that some people want and create "big bad mean" dogs out of them. These morons gravitate to these types of breeds to show off their own attempt at a tough image. Those dogs are dangerous. Most others of the breed are not. We have seen the same type of problem with other breeds....German Shepherds, rotties, dobermans, etc.

Personally I don't think the whole breed should be condemned, just those who are handled by mean morons who are looking for a dog to cover their own inadequacies.

Or it could be the owner was a total idiot. Considering he had TWO dogs loose at that age, chances are my guess is more accurate than yours.

Going with your line of thinking, anyone wearing a suit makes at least 100k a year.
