Glad the fella is doing better.. My dad is 78 and I can't imagine the trauma that poor guy went through..
I have a pit lab mix sleeping at my feet...Any dog can be dangerous..Glad to hear you stopped the attack , there is only one place for a bad acting animal and that is dead..
The city I live near is in the process of banning all bull terrier mix/pit bull dogs in city limits. There are way too many attacks from them and way too many low life's that feel the need for a big bad dog to intimidate people and make their selves feel big and bad. Probably more because they are hiding something drugs etc. my .002
For those that wonder why anyone would want a dog like that, I suppose a lot of them are for protection when the owner either can't or won't consider a firearm. I've never had to chase down an escaped firearm (nor have I heard of anyone else having to) before it attacked someone, so I guess guns are inherently safer than dogs.
