Roy - sorry about the news. Best of luck.

Drew - safe trip

David (MFW) - Happy Anniversary

Got a haircut yesterday. Totally different experience than years ago. Any of you guys remember, as a boy, the first time the barber put his fingers to his lather machine, daubed some around years ears and nape of your neck, then expertly flicked it away with his razor - first big boy haircut :)

Not so much...

I made the mistake of posting something on my wife's facebook. Something sweet, self deprecating, and true.

She of course flew off the handle, deleted it, and yelled at me on email...

Great day in the neighborhood.

David

Roy, good luck on the job hunt. I think the stove biz is related to the housing biz. Just this week, they announced that SE Michigan had 400 new home starts. That is the best it's been since 2008. However, in 2004, they had 16K in the same time period... We have a long way to go!!

I'd stay away. She sounds toxic, and nothing is going to change that.

The last time I paid for a haircut was in November of 1983. Didn't have a choice back then. The Navy set you down and lowered your ears, and let you pay for the pleasure of it. For the last 30 years I have cut my own hair. About every 1 1/2 or 2 months it gets in my eyes enough to bother me, so I whack away. I must be doing a pretty good job, two or three people ask me to cut their hair ever so often.

Not sure what haircuts cost these days, but I have saved enough for a down payment on a new tractor. At least that is what I'm telling my wife.

tv news forecast says Texas is under a serious heatwave. Boy I wish I could send some of this cooling rain
to them. Share the wealth. Our cup is truly overflowing.
Nice rain though...not destructive like a storm. But my cucumbers are exploding, the strawberries taste a little watery, and
the tomatoes are splitting. But boy does the local corn look good.

so Toppop, what are you personally bringing to the auto show this weekend?

My Olds popped the rear main seal big time and I didn't want to put the common assed rope seal back and I can't get a neoprene until next week, so I'll be bring my big butt in a daily driver!:D By the way, it's good on the RV parking, I'll PM you.

I am pleased to report that while I sit wearily at my desk reading emails, and of course catching up here,
my wife is happily futzing in the motorhome parked outside our house. And of course she wanted the slides out so we have half
the road blocked, but our neighbors are understanding. And I have a very big red cone out there...
I think she will tire soon and I'll button it up for the night. Drove home in a drenching storm, and it ran fine. Nadene followed in her car
and she said I didn't swerve too much, though I favored the right side too much. Kept hitting the noise strips and would inch back over.
My positional awareness has some work to do.

So the little gen is whirring away outside, I can hear it with the window open in my office, and she's having a good time setting up
"her" kitchen. Yes dear.

She has my kids, my property, my tractor chainsaw and tools...

I fear that you may be right, but I gotta fight for my kids at least...

Be well,
David
