Polaris Ranger Crew Stuck in Swamp Two Weeks Now....

Lets not try to reinvent the wheel here guys ! It's a partially stuck 4 wheeler not a duce and a 1/2 with covered wheels , it's going to require a little muscle and a short shovel a 20 foot long chain and a good come along and it's out Period ! Bring a junk chainsaw to use limbs to shore it up while digging and it has to come out the way it drove in , Don't attach the chain to any parts you want to keep! My son is 32 I have way too much experience freeing stuck tractors /bobcats/ cars /trucks /4 wheelers /dirt bikes /lawn tractors / a 450 dozer /recently a backhoe and believe it or not a jet ski in a tree ! Don't you just love your kids ?

Oh don't you wish you had a camera. Especially for the jet ski in a tree.

The phone call went something like this ... ring ,ring ...hello ? Dad ? yeah , Are you busy ? Not very why ? Well........I need some help with your jet ski .........Well, Whats wrong with it ? ........... Well I was riding down towards the end of the lake and it kinda got away from me !.............................WHAT DO YOU MEAN IT GOT AWAY FROM YOU ! ?" ............................. Well, Eddie and I were running down the lake and I hit his wake and now the ski is stuck in a tree .......................WHAT THE F#%%&@!!! DO YOU MEAN BY "IT'S STUCK IN A TREE" ????? ................................................Well,.........Like I said it's inna tree and the guys really p@@#%!D that his tree is broken .................YOU BROKE HIS TREE ???.....................yeah,...We're gonna need a chainsaw and some straps and you might wanna bring a couple of come alongs ,Oh yeah can you bring the trailer too I don't think it will float anymore ...................................... IT WON'T FLOAT ANY MORE ? ..........Probably not it has a 3 inch tree limb stuck in it .................. THERE'S A LIMB STUCK IN MY NEW SKI ? at that point I handed the phone to "HIS MOTHER" her response was "are you ok ? ...yeah we're ok but maybe you should make dad a drink or two before you get here ..............She tells him "honey it sounds like this may take more than a drink or two, He's on his way and it would probably be a good idea not to get to close to him till he calms down ! " ........ Now it's funny , But at the time I wanted to throttle him severely !!!!!!!

Reminds me of when I rolled my dads brand new snowmobile, 48 miles on it. Not a great day around our house hold.

Now snow mobiles are a whole other list and it was probably my sister or myself calling "my" father. He has a large piece of land in Maine and another in New Jersey and we as kids we had some of the first early snow machines in the 60's some 53 years ago I remember a Ski Doo and a Scadadler that saw some rough use by us kids most people did not even know what they were in New Jersey .

Hey, Roy..I was wondering where you were as I have not seen your messages in awhile. Hope you are well. I thought you lived in VA.

We will see this weekend. My wife said she will never ride in it as she feels too many swamp creatures have bonded with it! Not feeling as carefree as I sound, but all I could do when I am rarely in the area.

Taking personnel in myself this weekend.

Nah...except for when I was in the Navy, never lived in Virginia. From Maryland (aka "Merl Land"), moved to Pennsylvania (aka "Pencilvania")...now domiciled in beautiful Vermont (Green Mountain State...and are they green!).

I think that month long swamp setting likely ruined your UTV...between water in places it shouldn't be and the critters making it a home.

Yes, I was let down on that. KTAC said they would take care of things, but I need to get it out to determine the damage. After the guys who got it stuck (and re-stuck)went dumb on me, it rained so much you had to use flippers to reach the site. I reached it last weekend, but lots of mud to even reach the site.
I really would like a load of "cheap" aircraft landing mats for next time.

I have to agree with Roy. The whole deal sucks and I feel for you. In the end it is still just a machine and not worth the assault charges.

I wouldn't let those guys near my bicycle after this much less anything with a motor. Good luck to you.
